What superhero beats the flash?

The Hive Ghana weekly engagement topics seem to get interesting as the weeks pass by recently. And honestly, I’m excited writing about this week’s topic on superpowers. I think many guys will want to write about this particular topic because having superpowers is something that almost every guy has thought of at some point in their life. Or is it just me?

Anyways, I’ve had a lot of time thinking about what superpower I would choose if I could have any superpower, and I can only think of one thing. Super Speed. I’ll be Barry Allen. I think this just makes sense.

I’m going to be referring to marvel and drawing stories from movies, so bear with me.

If you’ve watched a lot of movies, the problem most superheroes face is they have some sort of weakness. Take Clark Kent for instance (the man of steel aka Superman) with a weakness being kryptonite. And when I say Kryptonite, I don’t just mean the green one. We have Gold kryptonite, which basically strips kryptonians (superman included) of their powers completely. I’m sure you get the point now, so I won’t go down the entire list of kryptonite types and their effects. Other superheroes and their weaknesses include Green Lantern and the color yellow. Literally. Imagine that.😂

Why would I choose the flash then?

At first glance, it’s pretty obvious that the flash doesn’t have very lethal abilities like heat vision, super strength, and others. But what’s the point of heat vision and super strength when you can attack your enemy hundreds of times before they can blink?

The interesting thing is that super speed grants you a very of miscellaneous abilities too. Like the ability to time travel, phase through building, fly(yes, fly) and superfast healing. He can move so fast that he can harness and weaponize fucking lightning bolts from his speed. His superspeed also allows him create time remnants, meaning basically that he can myltiply himself as many times as he needs in battle if he is outnumbered. The list goes on and on. What else could you possibly want?

So even though, on the surface it looks like there’s not much to the flash except for superspeed, that is very VERY far from the truth.

Time Travel

And let’s just talk about time travel for a minute. The ability to travel into the future and past? Tell me what beats that. That is a pure advantage to predict enemy moves (as I’ve seen the flash do a couple of times in the movies) and dodge every attack they throw at you.

Not to mention that being able to time travel basically makes you immortal. I can’t explain how time travel makes you immortal without confusing the living shit out of you, so let’s leave that for another day.

With all this said, the movies underscore the flash’s powers and in a lot of cases, makes him appear very subpar to villains he could easily defeat, just for the sake of longer episodes and story.

We’re talking about someone that can run 13 trillion times than the speed of light. Think about that for a second. He is not just twice as fast as the speed of light, nor 100 times or even a thousand or millions times, but 13 TRILLION times. Tell me what superpower could possibly beat that.

I feel that if the movies would represent the flash’s true power, he should be a god, because god damn!

Anyways, if I could be the flash or have his power, here are some things I’d do.

One thing I hate about the movies is that they don’t allow superheroes have fun with their powers. But thank God I’m the director of this movie.😂

So first things first, I’d around the earth in a fraction of a second just because I can. Literally. Then I would pull a couple of Jesus moves by walking on water.

Of course, fuck a job, cos then I would save the world for a living. Bye bye to 911 when you can just say F.. and I’ll be there.😂

What were you thinking? That I wouldn’t save people and do all that hero stuff? Jesus, there’s “hero” in Superhero, so of course I would.😂

Anyways, enough of the banter, guys. I really would’ve used my powers for good. I probably would’ve travelled into the future to bring back the formula for the cure for cancer. Although, I suspect this could’ve caused some catastrophe or alter the timeline in a huge way because we’ll then have people living who were supposed to have died by the natural order of things.

I can’t talk about every good thing I would’ve used my power for, but I definitely would’ve saved a lot of lives.
