Hello movie lovers!
Lately I've been bored, so I finally watched several films on Netflix. I currently like watching Asian films, especially Indian and Japanese films. There is one Japanese film that I think I should make a review of. This film is entitled HELL DOGS - THE HOUSE OF BAMBOO. This is a film with my favorite genre, action. For action film lovers like me, you will definitely like this film too. But before watching, read my review first, then compare my opinion with your opinion whether it is the same or not.

The Story

Goro Idezuki, a former policeman who has spent eleven years seeking revenge against three robbers who killed four victims in his area of ​​duty. He did that because he felt guilty for not being able to protect the victims, especially because one of the victims was a girl he liked. After eleven years he was finally able to kill the three robbers. However, his actions were discovered by the police chief who finally gave him an offer to become a secret agent. Goro Idezuki disguised himself as Shogo Kanetaka and disguised himself as a Yakuza member. Even after a year of being together with Hideki Murooka, both of them became confidants of the yakuza boss. He received a mission to kill a Yakuza boss.

My opinion about this movie

The first thing I want to review is the story. In my opinion, the storyline is very easy to understand, so you don't need to think hard when watching it. There are lots of violent scenes, this is normal because this film is an action genre set in the dark world of the yakuza. Honestly, there is nothing disturbing about the story and scenes in this film. Everything is in proportion. From a visual perspective they also did it well, so it feels like it's real.

The thing I want to discuss the most is the acting of the actors, especially the main character. Goro Idezuki a.k.a Shogo Kanetaka, played by 43 year old actor Junichi Okada. His acting really made me fall in love. The action scenes are really very good. I don't know if I've seen the film he's in before or not, but his name is still foreign to me. I really really enjoyed the action scenes. Then, another actor who stole my attention was actor Kentaro Sakaguchi who plays Hideki Murooka in this film. He plays the most brutal member of the yakuza. Apart from being handsome, I also like his acting. Hideki Murooka also did many action scenes together with Shogo Kanetaka. Even though he is described as a brutal psychopath, he is a loyal person. I don't know, when I watched this film I felt sorry for him even though he was a murderer. Lastly, he is also one of my favorite characters in this film. Miyavi plays Yoshitaka Toake, the boss served by the two people above. He was actually a former secret agent like Kanetaka, but he chose to betray and become a mafia boss. I like him, because he is handsome and charismatic. He doesn't do many action scenes but I still like his acting.

Overall, this film is very good and a must watch for action film fans. However, I was a bit disappointed with the ending, when Kanetaka killed Murooka. The two of them are very close, they both seem to love each other but why does it have to end up killing each other. I feel that I'm too sensitive, hahahah...

OK, that was a review of the film Hell dogs - The house of bamboo. Maybe my review this time is a bit random, but that's really all what I thought after watching this film.
