K-drama review - Dynamite Kiss

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

As the title of this post suggests, today I want to review a K-drama called Dynamite Kiss. I think the title alone is already intriguing. Since romantic comedy K-dramas are rare these days, I was interested in watching this drama. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the two main characters, but I figured there's no harm in giving it a try. How about we get straight to the point?

  • The Story Line of Dynamite Kiss

A woman named Go Da Rim vacations to Jeju Island for the first time. There she meets Gong Ji Hyeok and they share a kiss they call the Dynamite Kiss. Everything happens so quickly because Da Rim leaves without saying goodbye. Ji Hyeok, who has already fallen in love with Da Rim, decides to look for her but still can't find her. Meanwhile, Da Rim applies for a job by pretending to be a married woman with a son. Da Rim does it because she needs the job, while she has no experience in her thirties. Accidentally, she meets Ji Hyeok again, who is the son of the company owner and who will become Da Rim's team leader. In addition to their love story, this drama also tells about the problems that occur in the families of each of the main characters.

  • Characteristics

Jang Ki Yong as Gong Ji Hyeok

Jang Ki Yong plays Gong Ji Hyeok, a man from a wealthy but dysfunctional family. He doesn't believe in love because his father betrayed his mother. But that was before he met Go Da Rim. However, after meeting Da Rim and falling in love, Ji Hyeok transforms into a man full of love.

Ahn Eun Jin as Go Da Rim

Ahn Eun Jin plays Go Da Rim, an ordinary girl studying for the civil service exam. Her life is shattered when she learns her mother suffered a heart attack because her younger brother ran away, leaving behind a large debt. She has to pretend to be a housewife to get a job and pay off her younger brother's debt.

The reason why this drama should be watched?

I think the story is light and funny, so we can enjoy it while relaxing. Lately, there are many K-dramas that require viewers to think and focus while watching. Therefore, I think this drama is suitable for taking a break. Honestly, I am also a fan of dramas with heavy genres such as investigative dramas and others. But once in a while, I also want to watch a light drama that can make me laugh. Besides, the chemistry of the actors is also very good in my opinion. Sometimes even though the story is good and the main actors are famous actors, if the chemistry is lacking, it is still difficult to like it. So far, watching Dynamite Kiss is quite enjoyable.

I think that's my review of Dynamite Kiss. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Have a good day!

Best regards,
Devy
