Hi everyone! How have you been? I hope everyone is well today. I will review a film that has recently been trending on netflix. Since this is the netflix era, I think a lot of people have watched this movie too. Okay straight away, I will review the Purple Hearts movie. This film was excited and received scathing criticism because one of the dialogues was considered racist. In one scene, one of the film's dialogues offends Arabs.

Purple Heart is a romantic film that tells the story of the love journey between Cassie Salazar (Sofia Carson), a budding musician who dreams of becoming a famous singer, and Luke Morrow (Nicholas Galitzine) a member of the Marines. Their meeting started at a cafe, at that time Cassie worked at the cafe and Luke was hanging out with his army friends. Their love affair began when they both decided to get married by contract. This was done by Luke to help Cassie to get insurance for a US soldier's wife. Because Cassie has a disease that requires a lot of money for treatment. They were married the week before Luke went to war. People around them believe that they married for love. Even though they were married by contract, they spent the first night like a normal married couple.

After Luke goes to war, they often communicate via video calls to convince Luke's comrades that they are a real couple. From then on their feelings began to grow. Luke also became Cassie's inspiration to make a song that made him known. Until something bad happened at Luke's camp which caused one of their friends to die and Luke's leg was injured. After that Cassie took good care of Luke, but in the end their relationship was strained and their contract marriage was known to the family and even Luke's boss knew about it. In court, Luke says it was all his fault and Cassie is innocent of just following his orders. He did this to protect Cassie. But even though Luke was punished, the two of them ended up together after Luke returned.

I'm a lover of Korean dramas and Chinese dramas, so I'm used to watching dramas or movies with the theme of contract marriage like this. But I think the story from the Purple Hearts movie has never been found. The contract marriage of a musician and a marine was new to me. So I think this film is interesting. I was also impressed by the acting of the actors, especially the two main characters. They have very good chemistry. I hope they both will be paired in another film project. For lovers of romantic films and have not watched this film, I recommend you to watch it. I'm sure you'll love it.
