Series review : Perfect Marriage Revenge

Lately I've been liking a Korean drama entitled Perfect Marriage Revenge. This drama is adapted from a webtoon with the same title. If previously I reviewed films or dramas that I had finished watching, this time I want to review drama series that are still ongoing. At first, I watched this drama because the male lead was one of my favorite Korean actors, namely Sung Hoon.

Before starting to review the drama, allow me to tell you a little about my experience when attending actor Sung Hoon's fan meeting. Or you can call it "Flexing" hahahahaha. Yeah, in November 2019 I attended Sung Hoon's fan meeting in Indonesia. I feel very lucky because I got a free VVIP ticket from my boss. Because of the ticket, I was able to take a photo next to Sung Hoon. It was an experience that I will never forget for the rest of my life. At that time I felt like I was dreaming because I usually only see him on the screen, then at that moment he was in front of my eyes, even if only for a few seconds. This drama tells the story of an orphan girl named Han Yi Joo who was adopted by a family, but was never considered by the family. Even the husband she had been married to for a year, apparently didn't really love her. The woman knew the facts before the accident and was finally declared dead. However, before she died he prayed to be given another chance to live. The woman woke up exactly one year before the unfortunate incident that happened to her occurred. This means she time traveled to the past. She is determined to take revenge by canceling her engagement and marrying Seo Do Guk, a businessman who her sister, Han Yoo Ra wants to marry.

My opinion about this drama

Honestly, before watching this drama I didn't have high expectations at all because this drama was a bit less popular. But after watching the first episode, I was so curious that I ended up binge-watching this drama until episode six. Well, this drama is still ongoing and only has episode six. Even though it's only been six episodes, I can say that this drama is good. I always like dramas with the theme of contract marriage, but this one is different from the contract marriages I've watched in other dramas because the purpose of contract marriage in this drama is for revenge. After watching six episodes, I'm curious about what will happen next. Because episode seven still has to wait another week, I plan to read the webtoon too. It's been a long time since I last watched a drama with family conflicts like this, so I really enjoyed watching it.

For acting, Sunghoon's acting abilities are beyond doubt. His role in this drama makes me want to have a husband like Seo Do Guk, Lol. What I like most about Sung Hoon is when he plays a man who really cares about his partner. And what I always look forward to from him is the kiss scene, Lol. He is a master of the scene.

As for Jung Yoo Min, the female lead also acts very well and is. Even though to be honest I didn't know her before. She is beautiful and her visual is reminds me to Yuri of SNSD. And the other actors, including the antagonist, also act very well. So, overall this drama is good and I recommend watching it.
