When I was little, I really liked cartoon series. What I like the most is detective Conan. Apart from Detective Conan, as far as I can remember, I also watched the Kindaichi detective series. Detective Kindaichi is not as popular as detective Conan. Maybe because the story is too dark for children to watch, because almost every episode tells about sadistic serial killers.

A few days ago I opened the Disney+ app to find a movie or series to watch. I found a series released in 2022 with the title The files of young Kindaichi. I was immediately curious to watch it. Will it be as good as the cartoon version? To be honest, I've kind of forgotten about the story. Of course, since I'm thirty one years old now which means it's been more than fifteen years since I watched it, Lol.

I just finished watching the series and thought of making a review on this community. Alright, I don't want to talk too much anymore, let's just review the series "The files of young Kindaichi".

Kindaichi is a high school student who is not good at studying and is known for being clumsy. But actually he is a genius. Previously no one realized his genius, until finally there was a murder at his school and he was accidentally involved in the incident. Even the police could not find out who the perpetrators of this heinous murder had killed several students at the school. But Kindaichi, who is the grandson of a famous detective, is able to solve the mystery of the murder and find out who the killer is.

Since the case that occurred at that school, a detective named Isamu Kenmochi realized Kindaichi's talent. They often happen to meet and solve many cases together. Until finally one day when Detective Kenmochi invites Kindaichi and a friend named Ryuta Saki to an event, Kindaichi is accused of killing a famous writer at the event. Even though he had to run away from the police for days, finally Kindaichi was able to solve the case and clear his name again.

Each case episode faced by Kindaichi is different. But he can always solve it. Of course with the help of Detective Kenmochi and his two friends, Ryuta Saki and Miyuku Nanase.

Because the story is always different in each episode, it makes me excited to watch while watching. Detective stories always make me interested and think hard. As I said above, I don't really remember the story about the cartoon that I watched before. But, after watching this version I really like it. Every episode always makes me tense. Maybe because the shooting was also made to look real, that's why I got carried away.

I also like the cast, especially the Kindaichi cast. Shunsuke Michieda, had never heard of the name before but he played the character of Hajime Kindaichi very well. For the other actors too, they played their roles well.

Overall this series is very good and I also recommend watching it. For those who want to watch immediately, you can watch it on the Disney Hotstar application. Those who used to watch the cartoon version of Detective Kindaichi when they were little, surely you will feel nostalgic when you watch the series The Files of young Kindaichi.

I think that's enough review for the series The files of young Kindaichi. Anyway, I'm confused what else should I discuss about it, hehehe...
