CineTV Contest: Falsehood, a film that teaches about friendship.
Just the day before I found out about the contest, I had watched a thriller that YouTube suggested to me: Falsehood. The plot revolves around four friends who go on a girls' weekend to a cabin in the middle of a very cold forest. Three of them have known each other since they were children, and the fourth friend is the newest member of the group and the least sensible. Secrets, betrayals, deceptions, envy, jealousy, disappearances, deaths, fights, past traumas returning, falling in love, and above all, the constant doubt of who will be the true friend are the main conflicts of this film. I don't want to give too many details so you go and see the film and be surprised by the story. At least I didn't know for sure who was responsible for what was happening until almost the end.

The closest duo of friends in Falsehood shows us that we often don't know the secrets of our friends that have irresponsibly caused harm in their lives. Such secrets can lead them to make decisions and adopt very morally questionable attitudes. With this story, we learn that in these circumstances, sometimes the best thing we can do for our friendship is to try to understand, without justifying or supporting wrongdoing. It's giving a vote of confidence when everything points to no good. It's holding a hand, it's forgiving, it's holding on and trying to rescue the good that brought us together, it's giving another chance. The film reflects something that happens a lot: when we make a new friend, we often neglect our longer-standing friendships. In Cuba, there's a popular saying that can be applied to this: "a new broom sweeps well." Don't throw yourself body and soul into a friendship without knowing as much as possible who that person is. Having a close relationship with someone for a long time doesn't guarantee that you'll have a deep understanding of who they are. As is the case with this story and with my friends, I'm quite private about my thoughts and feelings. Despite this, I've had some very dear friends with whom I've been able to open up a little more. If you want to have a good time watching a well-acted story with deep psychological themes, I recommend Untruth. Thanks to the CineTV community for giving us the opportunity to discuss such an essential topic in life as friendship.
