Foxcatcheres is a film about power, control and mental fragility, inspired by a true story that shook the sports world. Directed by Bennett Miller, the film follows Olympic wrestling champion Mark Schultz, who is invited to train at the luxurious facilities of John du Pont, an eccentric billionaire obsessed with patriotism, glory and personal mastery.

It all begins on the eve of the 1988 Olympic Games, Mark is at the bottom of his career and agrees to be part of the team led by John whose desire is to boost his career again, but his coldness and insecurity leads the athlete to maintain an increasingly disturbing relationship. Since this handles power and psychological manipulation at another level.
On the other hand we have his brother who plays an important role in Mark's loneliness, being the main oppressor, even though he is a father figure for his brother.

Foxcatcheres es una película sobre poder, control y la fragilidad mental, inspirado en una historia real que estremeció al mundo del deporte. Dirigida por Bennett Miller, la película sigue al campeón olímpico de lucha Mark Schultz, quien es invitado a entrenar en las lujosas instalaciones de John du Pont, un excéntrico multimillonario obsesionado con el patriotismo, la gloria y el dominio personal.

Todo comienza en la vísperas de los juegos olímpico de 1988, Mark está en el fondo de su carrera y acepta formar parte del equipo dirigido por John quien sus deseos son de volver a impulsar su carrera, pero su frialdad e inseguridad conlleva a que el deportista mantenga una relacion cada vez mas perturbadora. Ya que este maneja el poder y la manipulación psicológica a otro nivel.
Por otro lado tenemos a su hermano quien juega un papel importante en la soledad de Mark siendo el principal opresor, aun siendo una figura paternal para su hermano.

Lo que comienza como una oportunidad dorada, se transforma rápidamente en una relación tóxica, marcada por la manipulación, la dependencia emocional y un ambiente cada vez más oscuro.
