The Swap (2016) REVIEW [ENG/ESP]

Hace tiempo que no veo a alguna película nueva de Disney así que ingresé en la aplicación a buscar que podía ver. The Swap no es lo que se dice ¨Nueva¨ pero jamás la había visto y ahora que me conseguí a los actores protagonistas en Cobra Kai y que sé que son pareja me dieron más ganas de verla.

It's been a while since I've seen a new Disney movie so I went to the app to see what I could see. The Swap is not what you would call “new” but I had never seen it before and now that I got the lead actors in Cobra Kai and I know they are a couple I wanted to see it even more.

Ellie O'Brien es una gimnasia rítmica que trata de sobrellevar sus problemas de adolescente. Mientras tanto, su compañero de clase Jack Malloy lucha por estar a la altura del legado de estrella de hockey de sus hermanos y de las altas expectativas de su padre. Ellie O'Brien is a rhythmic gymnast trying to cope with her teenage problems. Meanwhile, her classmate Jack Malloy struggles to live up to his brothers' field hockey star legacy and his father's high expectations. When their lives intersect they end up in the middle of a body swap and must now learn to live as each other.

Si, en general las películas de Disney me parecen bastante buenas, cumplen su función ¨Ser entretenidas¨, al saber que los actores actualmente son pareja honestamente me esperaba ese tipo de interacción en la película, luego recordé que esto fue mucho antes y estoy viendo no a los actores si no a sus personajes y se me pasó. SPOILER Aún así me gustó la química entre ellos, me parece que es una amistad bastante agradable y el hecho de que presentaran a sus padres al final me dio mucho para imaginar, sólo pensé ¨Yo buscando que sean pareja y los vana terminar volviendo hermanos¨. En fin, puede que algún domingo libre y con lluvia la vuelva a ver.

Yes, in general Disney movies seem pretty good to me, they fulfill their function ¨To be entertaining¨, knowing that the actors are currently a couple honestly I was expecting that kind of interaction in the movie, then I remembered that this was much earlier and I'm seeing not the actors if not their characters and I missed it. SPOILER I still liked the chemistry between them, it seems like a pretty nice friendship to me and the fact that they introduced their parents at the end gave me a lot to imagine, I just thought ¨I looking for them to be a couple and they are going to end up becoming brothers¨. Anyway, maybe some Sunday off and with rain I'll watch it again.
