Found this brief documentary about Rob Richardson, his techniques and adventures as one of Hollywood's premiere cinematographers.

He's one of the few cinematographers whose lighting I admire. It has so much shape and dimension. His are some of the most beautiful, cinematic images to me and I think the only other DPs that rival his calibre are Dean Cundy and Roger Deakins.

Also, that hair.

I can talk a pretty good game... but I couldn't even tell you if my favourite movies are on the list partly because of the cinematographers, or what their names are. That's terrible! But I always appreciate a more nuanced look into art and filmmaking, so I really should dive a bit deeper. Thanks for bringing him to my attention, DS! :)
