Nastassja Kinski, daughter of great German actor Klaus Kinski, became star in her own right after appearing in number of remarkable films which would, among other things, turn her into sex symbol of late 1970s and early 1980s cinema. Subsequent years were generally kind to her looks, but not so much for her career, which consisted mostly of supporting roles or starring in obscure films. One of them was Blind Terror, 2001 television film directed by Giles Walker.

Kinski plays the protagonist, environmental designer Susan. Two years earlier her beloved husband has died in accident and Susan tries to compensate for her loss by dedicating herself to work. When a friend sets her up with a charming man named Kevin (played by Stewart Bick), he leaves such a good impression that Susan decides to marry him without much consideration. Her life, however, turns into hell when she becomes target of mysterious person that harasses her – she received threatening phone calls, her car is vandalised and ultimately herself get physically attacked. It looks like the perpetrator might be Kevin’s former girlfriend Leslie Seeward (played by Linda Goodwin) who apparently can’t stand Kevin being with another woman. Police appears unable to help, so Susan hires eccentric private detective Martin Howell (played by Gordon Pinsent) which would result in shocking revelation.

Nastassja Kinski looks good in Blind Terror and puts more than decent effort in playing her role. Same can be said for supporting cast which delivers some interesting performances. But those are the only good things that can be said of this unambitious by-the-numbers television film. Script by Douglas Soesbe is full of cliches and the experienced viewer would easily guess “surprise” plot twist even at the beginning of the film. Walker directs his film without much inspiration and Blind Terror, with content that confirms to the strict censorship standards of early 21st Century network television, becomes forgettable very quickly.
