More From the Frau
These are the last four images from my St. Augustine visit taken with my Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 530, or as I like to call her, "The Frau".
These aren't the best shots from the roll. I don't "save the best for last".😁 But I still like the feel of them. These were scanned using Silverfast instead of the standard Epson software. Silverfast crapped out after scanning these, an ongoing problem with seemingly no resolution. Yes, I uninstalled and reinstalled, yes, I turned the pc/scanner off and on again. It still closes randomly. Oh well.
I think I have figured out what is causing the dark lines across the edge of the frames. According to one source the film isn't being fully developed on that edge, meaning I didn't put enough developer in the tank. I find this odd because I put ten milliliters more than the tank says to, but maybe I'm loading the reel in wrong (as I did with some 35mm color I'll be posting later).
This is the first shot I took on the roll: my son, who is ridiculously photogenic. He never takes a bad photo, so I decided to make him sit still long enough to get the focus, aperture, and exposure set. I probably should have made him face the sun to get more light on his face, but with his wiggles I doubt that would have happened. I still think it was worth the effort. 😊
Anywho, let me know what you think! Tomorrow or sometime soon I'll have color shots from the Frau's sister Contessa.
