Ponchatoula in Color
What a difference fresh film makes! This is the fifth roll of C41 I have ever developed and the first unexpired roll.
You might remember my black and white photos from Ponchatoula that I posted a month ago. Those were medium format so it was easier (quicker) to get through the roll. It takes me forever to get through a roll of 35! There is another roll of black and white which I just finished that will have a few more, so stay tuned for those shots.
The alligator above is "Old Hardhide", who watches over the comings and goings in the town of Ponchatoula. It even writes a column in the local paper. The original gator lived there from 1975 to 1985, and the title has been passed down to three more gators since, according to my aunt. She says "Old Hardhide" will soon be retired thanks to efforts by people who hate fun and tradition.
Two more pictures of the town, similar to the medium format from before. I wasn't sure of my settings yet and I think I also thought the lens wasn't in focus, so two shots just in case.
The final image is of my parents and two of my kids checking out "Old Hardhide". I love the colors in this.
I tried out a new tank and reel with these and I couldn't be happier, no bent film! There has to be a downside to Paterson tanks and reels but so far I haven't found one.
