Tropes and Other Sticky Things
Flowers.... Ubiquitous and colorful. A photo trope, a cliché. Why not? I'm always good for a trope.

Flowers are definitely a more desirable subject.

Jokes aside, I'm not too impressed with my thrift store find. My daughter and I were purusing the shelves and I stumbled upon a Konica Autoreflex TC for $10. A quick Google proved it to be an acceptable price so I brought it home, spent about $15 on batteries, and loaded it up with Kodak Gold 200.
Well, the meter doesn't work. No worries, it's got manual controls and I'm pretty used to eyeballing by now.
But the aperture is sticky. Like some kinda goo on the leaves sticky. And even after cleaning the lens as thoroughly as I could, it's still shooting open....
Oh well. Keep watching my feed and see more shots through the week!

Lol it's so annoying! I think it's the original oil that's sticky because the leaves look wet. I took it apart and scrubbed it with alcohol but I guess I missed some. It's a shame because I love the way the camera feels. Eventually I'll get around to taking the lens apart again. But now I have a Rollei coming in the mail so I'll be a bit distracted 😂
Oh, I see :) Well, that happens and yeah the Rollei is an absolute attention grabber, lol :)
