Zatoichi Dance!

I love Japanese samurai action movies, and I especially love Takeshi Kitano's Zatoichi, which in addition to great fight scenes brilliantly intertwines sparkling humor and touching drama. But one of the main reasons to revisit it again and again, of course, is the music by composer Keiichi Suzuki and The STRiPES Band.

Especially the final scenes of the movie, with the dance, on a stage stylized like a theater, which became one of my favorite musical performances in movies.

Mixing the aesthetics of Japanese theater, traditional costumes, pop dance, European step, Brazilian samba and some club dance music, the filmmakers managed to create a real extravaganza and no matter how many times I watch this movie this scene brings me faint tears of happiness.

And just in case I misunderstood the terms and conditions and it's a song I'll add to it Meiko Kaji - Shura No Hana, included on the soundtrack of Lady Snowblood and later became iconic with "KIll Bill vol 1." Quentin Tarantino.

In my opinion it's one of the best Japanese songs of the 70's and the melody and voice of Meiko Kaji is fantastic and brilliantly combines the spirit of samurai cinema and traditional westerns.
