[Movie] The Sixth sense, a movie you have to watch twice

A few days ago, we had friends as guests, a family, they came with their 17-year-old daughter.
We started talking about movies, and she ignorantly said that we were the generation that only watched some action heroes, Terminator, Rambo, Rocky, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard...
I started to joke with her, and listed to her all the actors from those films, who acted in some other films and performed those roles brilliantly.
"But they are certainly not good and quality films, because those actors have always played in action films".
"Well, it's not exactly like that," I told her and mentioned Bruce Willis, because in the conversation we touched on their health condition.
Bruce Willis, who has been in really good action, has also had a few movies that I rank in the top 50 that I've seen. And I'm really sorry for his condition...
For such an actor to forget the films in which he played.
I suggested we watch one of those old movies, and my choice fell on "The Sixth Sense," a 1999 psychological thriller starring Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment.

I liked watching Bruce Willis in those action movies and I remember Haley Joel Osment as a young actor from this movie, but also the movie "AI" because of his believable acting.
The scene in which, with tears in his eyes, he says "I see dead people" is etched in my memory forever.

This fantastic film has little to say in the plot description: "A child psychologist takes on a new patient, a boy who claims to see ghosts. But as he tries to help him, the doctor finds his own life unraveling.".

These friends of ours told me that they don't remember the plot of the film at all, and that's a good thing, because even though I watched it 20 or more years ago, I remember the point. And when you know the point, it's a different dimension...
It doesn't matter, I will watch it now with "different eyes" and follow their reactions, as the film progresses, and they slowly understand what the point of the story is.

The film starts with a scene of a young couple in love, and a scene from the bedroom, which is interrupted by a stranger, who turns out to be a former patient of Dr. Malcolm, who wounds him in the next scene.

A year later, Dr. Malcom finds a new, young patient, the boy Cole, who has mental problems.

The great acting of the two actors led to the fact that I was reminded several times in the film why this film is in the top 50 category, and I was happy to follow the reactions of my friends, and especially their daughter, to every bravado of the direction, which is signed by M. Night Shyamalan, who also wrote the story, and the great acting of Haley and Willis.
I won't spoil anything further, so that I don't accidentally spoil someone's enjoyment, and if you haven't seen this movie or you saw it a quarter of a century ago (like me), I recommend it.

I didn't mention a word to my friends until the last scene of the movie, and their reaction after that last scene was the same as mine, years before: "Well, this movie must be watched again".
Of course, because it's fantastic.
