I only learned about Feast Days recently. It was a bit confusing with the name. I was under the impression people were getting together to share meals.
Why yes we also have that here in the Philippines. Depends on who the parish saint is, we always have such as a fiesta with food, games and all that. But if the saint is not the titular saint of the church then we celebrate mass and it is still a feast day regardless. 😁
The most dangerous people are the half-learned. They don’t feel the weight of the religion, yet they lecture others. They mock people and call it “speaking the truth.” They wear immodest clothes and justify it by saying, “what do clothes matter, our heart is clean.” Knowledge without humility turns into arrogance, and preaching without practice turns into poison.
Spent 3 hours getting bank work done, stepped out into the rain, and spotted hot samosas. there was no way I was saying no! Especially with how hungry I was.
“I’m fine.” Perhaps the most sincere lie we sometimes tell. Not because we want to deceive anyone, but because some wounds can’t be healed by anyone else but ourselves.
After a rainy day through yesterday.
Today is sunny, bright and warm.
Got a few more things to get done for the day.
