CINE token BURN proposal - CINE tribe can do token proposals!

One very interesting tool for tribes since outpost has come out, the CINE DAO! CINE DAO is a place where we can give out CINE tokens to different people for any number of reasons - from funding a short film to subsidizing a community project - within a common framework.

Proposals can be seen at https://www.cinetv.blog/proposals

As you can see there are no proposals yet!

CINE DAO does have some interesting characteristics though, like the max duration of 30 days. This extremely limits the power of any one proposal to dominate the inflation pool.

It also requires 100,000 CINE worth of votes in order to get funded. This vote threshold is somewhat arbitrary, as Splintertalk Token Fund episode showed. SPT:SPT fund had an arbitrarily low threshold, easy enough for a single investor to get over, and they raised their cap quite a bit after a proposal was submitted that some stakers didn't like.

So, its not really a DAO if the rules can be changed at will by a centralized authority.

A more centralized way to go about this is to establish what is called a

BURN PROPOSAL

image.png

The short, one month nature of the CINE DAO makes this a little bit more hands on (instead of creating and voting a burn proposal dynamic threshold over 700 days, for example).

But this BURN propsal has a second reason, and that is to test this whole process.

100% of the CINE tokens received by this proposal will go to @null.

If holders of CINE tokens vote this proposal to higher than 100,000 CINE threshold, the tokens will go to @null, and any other proposal will have to reach a higher level than it to get funding, because it is asking for everything.

This first proposal will be a good test to the system for the CINE community, and make sure all stakeholders know how and where to access the relevant information and make their votes.

OK nice one, this looks interesting nt seen something like this in other communities !PIZZA

Thanks, I really had problems understanding the burn proposal idea until now. It was me, who put the attention to the Splintertalk proposal. We had the vote limit at meger 500k SPT. Then Aggy bumped it up to 50 million and said we shall come up with a better solution ourselves. Apparently the burn proposal seems to be a solution. Will look more into it.

Burn proposal is the best way because then the stake holders can dynamically move it based on the proposals (or threats of proposals) coming in from the community.

I am so happy to put in my grain of sand on this issue! Keep up the great work with your projects 👍

All of that is really exciting and I love that !

from funding a short film to subsidizing a community project

I'll definitely keep this in mind ! If I can can help to fund a project thanks to this community It would be crazy !

The 30 days window is great ! Let's see if the 100k Cinepower is a good minimum, I don't know how big are the Ciné whales :') !PIZZA !LUV

I had no idea about this possibility so thanks for bringing it up!

I think it is an interesting initiative, although I still have a lot to learn in this area of OADs.

But in definitiv#HIVE is just that, a constant learning, a kind of academy for the use of cryptocurrencies in the future.

Regards.

I used to say on steem - I don't know if this blockchain will 'win', but I do know that what we do here will be studied by future people!

We are on the cutting edge!

Perhaps the proposal will be good for us.

Yes, something should be done so that any hive-engine token can ever be burned, because growing the number indefinitely is not good for the token price.

Wow! Thanks for the information. Hey there! JaiChai here. Getting back into the swing of things. Apologize for this off-topic question. It appears that my autovote bot that was ported to Hive from Steemit is now defunct? I believe I used to use the Steemauto bot - or something sounding like it? Do you use an autovote bot on Hive.blog? The first result on a search was HiveVote, but it's an unknown entity for me. Would appreciate a point in the right direction. May you and yours be well and love life today, my friend. In Lak'ech, JaiChai

@jaichai I know it! https://hive.vote/ is the only one left that I know of (and I do use it), of course you could run your own (there are open source versions), but that takes a lot more work than most people can put in, plus some server fees.

I will mention that the curation has changed - no more curation hunting, just get your votes on in the first 24 hours and avoid posts that will be downvoted later to get maximum curation.

Thanks so much, amigo! In Lak'ech, JaiChai
