A person suffers from agony for a pain that does not let him live, whether from some accident or illness, his pain is part of all the witnesses, the family that also suffers for their loved one, what is wanted is to calm his pain, that he does not suffer anymore.

Under that concept, a pharmacist creates a miraculous medicine to calm the pain of her patients, regardless of the consequences that this derives, it does not matter what happens, what is important is that everyone wants to supply and consume this miracle compact.

Deadly Medicine, 2023 directed by Peter Berg is a netfilx mini-series based on books, about the manufacture, distribution, sale and addiction of a highly addictive opioid derivative with disastrous results for those who consume it.

This mini-series based on true events consists of 6 episodes, in each intro of which shows one by one the family that has lost a loved one due to opioids, the mini-series not only shows the problem of addiction with this drug, but also how the pharmaceutical industry acts to position its product regardless of the consequences. As well as showing that addiction does not only affect the person themselves but also families, young people, doing whatever it takes to get them, broken families, and the unscrupulous way of offering it as relief from evil.

This mini-series is starred by Matthew Broderick who plays Richard Sackler who is the president of the company Purdue Pharma, who created and developed the miraculous medicine OxyContin. The series goes through various styles, the dialogue is shown between the serious and the satire, adding to the viewer a pleasant and not boring narrative for the type of subject it deals with.
It is worth mentioning that this pharmacist and as a consequence Richard Sackler in real life has suffered many lawsuits among other things for deceiving consumers by denying that opioids were addictive.

From my point of view the series is between fiction with a lot of real history, and at some point it can be emotionally frustrating because of some of the situations that the characters live. It is a series to know a little from a perspective how the world of drugs can move and how a person who is not addicted can be affected by being in contact for a while by this type of medication without apparent control, although I am convinced that in reality it can be seen much worse than what is shown there.

It is a series for reflection, to raise awareness about the use of these drugs and the impact they can have on the people who consume them, in addition to being alert to any situation, and that no medicine is miraculous, willpower can be an important factor and family plays a fundamental role in that process.

Una persona sufre por la agonía por un dolor que no lo deja vivir, ya sea por algún accidente o enfermedad, su dolor forma parte de todos los testigos, la familia que también sufre por su ser querido, lo que se quiere es calmarle su dolor, que no sufra más.

Bajo ese concepto una farmacéutica crea un medicamento milagroso para calmar el dolor de sus pacientes, sin importar las consecuencias que esto deriva, no importa lo que pase lo importante es que todos quieran suministrar y consumir este milagro compacto.

Medicina letal, 2023 dirigida por Peter Berg es una miniserie de netfilx basada en libros, que trata sobre la fabricación, distribución, venta y adicción de un derivado del opioides altamente adictivo y con resultados nefasto para quien lo consume.

Esta miniserie basada en hechos reales, consta de 6 episodios, de los cuales en cada intro muestra una a una familia que ha perdido a un ser querido a causa de los opioides, la mini serie no solo muestra el problema de las adicciones con este fármaco, sino también como actúa la industria farmacéutica para posicionar su producto sin importar las consecuencias. Así como también muestra que las adicciones no solo las sufre la persona en si misma sino también las familias, jóvenes, haciendo lo que sea para conseguirlas, familias destrozadas, y la inescrupulosa manera de ofrecerla como un alivio a los males.

Esta miniserie está protagonizada por Matthew Broderick quien interpreta a Richard Sackler quien es el presidente de la empresa Purdue Pharma, quien creo y desarrollo la medicina milagrosa OxyContin. La serie pasa por varios estilos, el dialogo se muestra entre lo serio y la sátira, agregándole al espectador una narrativa agradable y nada aburrida para el tipo de tema que trata.
Cabe destacar que esta farmacéutica y en consecuencia Richard Sackler en la vida real ha sufrido muchas demandas entre otras cosas por engañar a sus consumidores al negar que los opioides no eran adictivos.

Desde mi punto de vista la serie está entre ficción con mucha historia real, y en algún momento suele ser emocionalmente frustrante por algunas de las situaciones que viven los personajes. Es una serie para conocer un poco desde una perspectiva como puede moverse el mundo de los fármacos y como puede verse afectada una persona que no es adicta al estar en contacto por un tiempo por este tipo de medicamentos sin control aparente, aunque estoy convencida que en la realidad puede verse mucho peor de lo que allí se muestra.

Es una serie para reflexionar, para concientizar sobre el uso de estos medicamentos y el impacto que puede causar en las personas que lo consumen, además para estar alerta ante cualquier situación, y que ningún medicamento es milagroso, la fuerza de voluntad puede ser un factor importante y la familia juega un papel fundamental en ese proceso.
