Cuando veo algún tráiler de alguna serie o película que tenga que ver con asesinatos, suspenso o ficción, me uno a las personas que esperan con ansias el estreno. Estaba viendo un partido de fútbol un domingo como cualquier otro, y en el entretiempo mencionan una nueva serie que estaba por estrenarse por Star plus y por al escuchar la poca información que daban de la serie decidí investigar y vaya, lo que leía me gustaba. Estuve muy atento a su estreno pero por algunos problemas técnicos no pude ver su primer capítulo en el momento del lanzamiento. Fue unas semanas después que logré entrar a Star plus y enseguida me fui a buscar "La muerte y otros misterios” la serie nos entrega un elegante y peligroso entorno donde todos los pasajeros de un transatlántico serán sospechosos de un asesinato desencadenando una intrincada investigación para descubrir el verdadero asesino.

When I see a trailer for a series or movie that has to do with murder, suspense or fiction, I join the people who are anxiously awaiting the premiere. I was watching a soccer game on a Sunday like any other, and during halftime they mentioned a new series that was about to premiere on Star plus and when I heard the little information they gave about the series I decided to investigate and boy, what I read I liked. I was very attentive to its premiere but due to some technical problems I could not watch the first episode at the time of its release. It was a few weeks later that I managed to get into Star plus and immediately went looking for "Death and other mysteries" the series gives us an elegant and dangerous environment where all passengers of an ocean liner will be suspects of a murder triggering an intricate investigation to discover the real murderer.

Es el transatlántico conocido como el Varuna quien rodeado de lujo y la élite mundial se ofrece para ser el escenario para múltiples asesinatos que nos llevarán a descubrir los conflictos que se esconde entre los mismos pasajeros. Sí, a simple vista parece una serie más del monto, y bueno, capaz lo sea, tuvo muchos altos y bajos, una verdadera montaña rusa. Pero de alguna manera me mantuvo a la expectativa y con ganas de ver el siguiente capítulo.

It is the transatlantic liner known as the Varuna, surrounded by luxury and the world's elite, which is offered to be the scene for multiple murders that will lead us to discover the conflicts hidden among the passengers themselves. Yes, at first glance it seems like just another series of the amount, and well, maybe it is, it had many ups and downs, a real roller coaster. But somehow it kept me in expectation and looking forward to the next chapter.

La actriz Violett Beane da vida a Imogene Scott, una chica que perdió a su madre a muy corta edad en un terrible accidente y luego de 18 años se encontrará en el lugar y momento equivocado pues su pasado será revivido, mientras que el actor Mandy Patinkin interpreta a Rufus Cotesworth, un prestigioso detective que estuvo a cargo de la investigación sobre la muerte de Imogene y que después de largos años se vuelve a encontrar donde ocurrirá un choque entre los dos que los motivará a embarcarse en la misión de probar juntos lo que ocurre en el Varuna.

En mi humilde opinión como ya lo había mencionado, La Muerte y Otros Misterios ocasionalmente parece una montaña rusa pero aun así logra capturar a los espectadores. Su combinación de una estructura tradicional de novela policíaca con técnicas narrativas innovadoras da como resultado una serie refrescantemente original. Los fanáticos del género encontrarán una entretenida serie para disfrutar tal como la disfruté yo.

In my humble opinion as I had already mentioned, Death and Other Mysteries occasionally feels like a roller coaster ride but still manages to capture the viewers. Its combination of a traditional crime novel structure with innovative narrative techniques results in a refreshingly original series. Fans of the genre will find it an entertaining series to enjoy just as I did.
