Review Netflix Movie: My Oxford Year

Hola mis queridos lectores de Hive y amantes del mundo del cine ❤️, hace rato quería volver al género romántico, ya había visto mucho junto a mi novio películas de suspenso, misterio y thriller psicológico que la verdad son muy buenas porque te mantienen al borde del asiento con la expectativa de no saber cuál será el giro final...porque siempre tienen un giro final jaja. Y como no volver a este género con una de mis actrices favoritas Sofia Carson, a quien ya he visto interpretar hermosos papeles con unas historias muy conmovedoras, entre ellas "corazones malheridos", en dónde nos muestran la difícil vida de tener a un soldado activo como pareja, sin saber si lo volverás a ver con vida o no. Esa película fue muy hermosa y sin mentir les diría que la mire más de una vez pero está que les comparto en esta oportunidad es más dramática, ya por solo estar basada en el título "bajo la misma estrella", ya me podía imaginar lo que me podía encontrar en la trama, así que se puede decir que mire este film preparada mentalmente para ese tipo de escena.

Cómo protagonista encontramos a Anna, una estudiante que cumple su sueño al asistir a una de las mejor universidades Oxford, es una romántica soñadora que le apasiona la poesía y adora estar rodeada de libros, de hecho en una escena confiesa que su fetiche es hacerlo en una biblioteca jaja. Mientras está allá conoce a Jamie, interpretado por Corey Mylchreest, con quién no tiene un muy buen primer encuentro pero luego descubre que es nada más y nada menos que su profesor sustituto, al principio no se llevan bien pero poco a poco ambos se van conociendo y descubren que no son tan diferentes y todo es mejor cuando están juntos, hasta que un día se descubre un secreto familiar que Jaime ha guardado. Pero este secreto más alla de separarlos los unirá más, solo que rodeados de un ambiente más nostálgico y conmovedor, sin duda una película que te llegará al corazón, algunos quizás se podrán identificar porque no está lejos de parecerse a la realidad y otros sentirán compasión por las personas que enfrentan esa situación. A mi la verdad me gustó mucho pero son el tipo de películas que verías una sola vez en la vida.

My boyfriend and I had already watched a lot of suspense, mystery, and psychological thriller movies that are actually really good because they keep you on the edge of your seat, not knowing what the final twist will be... because they always have a final twist haha. And how could I not return to this genre with one of my favorite actresses, Sofia Carson, whom I've already seen play beautiful roles with some very moving stories, including "Wounded Hearts," where they show us the difficult life of having an active-duty soldier as a partner, without knowing if you'll see him alive again or not. That movie was very beautiful, and without lying, I'd tell you that I watched it more than once, but the one I'm sharing with you this time is more dramatic. Just because it's based on the title "The Fault in Our Stars," I could already imagine what I could find in the plot, so you could say that I watched this film mentally prepared for that type of scene.

The protagonist is Anna, a student who fulfills her dream by attending one of the best universities in Oxford. She is a romantic dreamer who is passionate about poetry and loves being surrounded by books. In fact, in one scene she confesses that her fetish is to do so in a library, haha. While there, she meets Jamie, played by Corey Mylchreest, with whom she doesn't have a very good first encounter, but later discovers that he is none other than her substitute teacher. At first, they don't get along, but little by little, they get to know each other and discover that they are not so different, and everything is better when they are together. Until one day, a family secret that Jaime has been keeping is discovered. But this secret, beyond separating them, will bring them closer together, only surrounded by a more nostalgic and moving atmosphere. Without a doubt, a film that will touch your heart. Some may be able to identify with it because it is not far from reality, and others will feel compassion for the people who face that situation. I actually liked it a lot, but they are the type of films that you would only see once in your life.
