(Esp/Eng) ¡Jurassic Park III: No es la mejor, pero es mi favorita!

Many consider Jurassic Park III the worst film of the first trilogy. It has more negative reviews than it's worth, and I admit it doesn't have the best script, nor is it the best. That place will forever be held by Jurassic Park, and it also has more flaws than Buhito's brain. But all things considered, it's my favorite and my favorite, not exactly because of the script or the plot, but because of the memories I have from when it was released.

Although I didn't go to see it in the theater, I didn't go to see any of the first films on the big screen, only Jurassic World, except for Dominion because it was released in a year when I didn't feel like going to the theaters. I saw Jurassic Park III as soon as it was released on VHS. It was the first film in the saga that I saw this way, and this is where the fond memories of those years begin.

Muchos consideran a Jurassic Park III como la peor película de la primera trilogía, tiene más críticas negativas que gastos y admito que no tiene el mejor guion ni es la mejor, este lugar lo ocupa Jurassic Park por siempre, y además tiene más fallas que el cerebro de Buhito, pero de todas formas y teniendo en cuenta todo esto, es mi favorita y mi consentida, no precisamente por el guion o la trama, sino por los recuerdos que tengo de cuando fue estrenada.

Si bien no fui a verla al cine, ninguna de las primeras películas fui a verlas en pantalla grande, solo Jurassic World, menos Dominion porque se estrenó en un año donde no me daban ganas de ir al cine, Jurassic Park III la vi apenas fue estrenada en VHS, fue la primer película de la saga que vi de esta forma y es aquí donde comienzan los recuerdos bonitos de aquellos años.

I don't remember exactly how old I was, I think I was around 7 or 8 years old and I remember that we saw the trailer on TV and I was super excited to see it, but we didn't go to the movies, I don't remember why, so we had to wait for it to be released on VHS and rent it at the neighborhood store. This is the first memory I have of when I saw it, it was the first of the trilogy that I was able to see in its premiere, not in the theater, but somehow it is a premiere and this is the first reason why it is my spoiled.

We were my mom, my sister and I, we arranged the chairs in the living room and put the VHS in the player, quite a gadget, but we put it to good use and enjoyed many movies with it, what a great time. We had 3 (three) days to watch it because the duration of the rental was for that time and I must say that we watched it many times during that time, we loved it.

I remember that the scene that made us laugh was the moment when the Pterodactyl turned its head slowly to see our protagonists escape and this was because at that time a music video of Jennifer Lopez had been released in which she turned her head in the same way and as we did not understand English, I understood that she said in that part “envuerajiresi”, I do not know what caranchos that means, kid stuff, but when we saw that scene of the dinosaur turning its head like her, I said that phrase.

No recuerdo exactamente cuántos años tenía yo, creo que rondaba los 7 u 8 años de edad y recuerdo que el tráiler lo vimos por la televisión y yo estaba súper entusiasmada con verla, pero no fuimos al cine, no recuerdo por qué, así que tuvimos que esperar que fuese lanzada en VHS y alquilarla en la tienda del barrio. Este es el primer recuerdo que tengo de cuando la vi, fue la primera de la trilogía que pude ver en su estreno, no en el cine, pero de alguna forma es un estreno y esta es la primera razón por la cual es mi consentida.

Estábamos mi mamá, mi hermana y yo, acomodamos las sillas de la sala y pusimos el VHS en el reproductor, bastante aparatoso, pero le dimos un buen uso a ese aparato y disfrutamos de muchas películas con él, que tiempos. Teníamos 3 (tres) días para poder verla porque la duración del alquiler era por ese tiempo y debo decir que la vimos muchas veces durante ese lapso, nos encantó.

Recuerdo que la escena que nos hizo reír fue el momento en que el Pterodáctilo giro la cabeza lentamente para ver a nuestros protagonistas escapar y esto fue porque en ese tiempo se había estrenado un video musical de Jennifer López en el que giraba de la misma manera la cabeza y como no entendíamos inglés, yo entendía que ella decía en esa parte “envuerajiresi”, no sé qué caranchos significa eso, cosas de niños, pero cuando veíamos esa escena del dinosaurio girando la cabeza como ella, yo decía esa frase.

My favorite character was Eric Kirby, that kid could give a complete survival lesson, imagine, a 12 year old kid, alone on an isolated island full of dinosaurs, danger lurking in every breath he took for 2 months, I know it's a movie, but when you mention a 12 year old kid you think of a scared, crying and somewhat capricious little boy, but Eric was the opposite, very intelligent and quite calm and mature for his age, I had a crush on him in those years, I admit it.

Amanda Kirby took the prize for the worst mother, she let her underage son do illegal paragliding in a forbidden zone full of dinosaurs with an adult who wasn't even his father, even so, the actress who played her is great, at times she made me laugh just like Paul Kirby, Eric didn't look like the son of either of them and even so the best laughs were given by his father.

Mi personaje favorito era Eric Kirby, ese niño podría dar una catedra completa de supervivencia, imaginen, un niño de 12 años, solo en una isla aislada llena de dinosaurios, el peligro acechándolo en cada suspiro que daba durante 2 meses, ya sé que es una película, pero al mencionar a un niño de 12 años uno piensa en un chiquito asustado, llorando y algo caprichoso, pero Eric era todo lo contrario, muy inteligente y bastante tranquilo y maduro para su edad, yo tenía un crush con él en esos años, lo admito.

Amanda Kirby se llevó el premio a la peor madre, dejo a su hijo menor de edad hacer parapente ilegal en una zona prohibida repleta de dinosaurios con un adulto que ni siquiera era su padre, aun así, la actriz que la interpreto es genial, en momentos me hacia reír igual que Paul Kirby, Eric no parecía hijo de ninguno de los dos y aun así las mejores carcajadas me las dio su padre.
