I have been a lover of Nollywood movies for a long time bushiftedwe grew, my interest shifted from Nollywood to Hollywood movies, I am not a lover of cliche movies, so Telumondo and some Indian movies that got to do with love especially got nothing on me as I never pay attention to them. I am an action movie person, no cartoon, epic-comedy, or love story movie person, they don't interest me but last year, I saw and heard about a particular typical Yoruba African Drama-comedy movie-making wave and I was intrigued especially by the characters in the movie, they are well-known actors and actresses who make good and quality movies.

Fight in buka street is a comedy-drama that revolves around two half-sisters whose fight about who is better than the other has never stopped.

This movie centers on the effect of polygamy family in the life of the children, the emotions of a broken woman who has known no happiness right from her father's house even till her marital home, the strength of a woman who was left with no option rather than to singlehandedly take care of her kids while her husband wallowed in prison for a crime he did not commit and comedy.

Two half sisters not just from different mothers but also from different cultures who have constantly fought themselves find themselves again at loggerheads as one of them comes back from her failed marriage and decides to set up a food business not just on the same street with her other half-sister but just opposite the others shop.

From birth have always been at war, a battle that was extended from their both mothers, even till when they got married their last of the battles was when they confronted each other in a food challenge, on who is the best seller and whose food is delicious.

Yejide (Funke Akindele) finds herself in a fix when her daughter takes up the battle and burns down her half-sister's shop without her knowledge which leads to both sisters fighting at the market square to the view and amazement of everyone in the village, although they've been known for fighting these particular fight led to the death or many who were involves in the fire incident and the destruction of many market women goods.

A jail break out happened and Yejide's husband who was involved in a murder case and jail for it, was among the prisoners who fleed, leading to Yejide housing her husband and Awelewa her half-sister (Mercy Johnson) finding out that the culprit was hiding and decides to alert the youths of their community.

Yejide let her mother know she was tired of the fight between herself and her sister but her mother wouldn't hear backing down while Awelewa even with her dying mother's wish and that of her newfound Hausa neighbour to stop the fight was not willing to back down.

Finally, Awelewa gives in to letting things go as she helps her half-sister save her husband from the mob.

It's a must-watch for everyone because I realized that this is exactly what many do, pick up the fight of their parents and end up destroying their lives as a result of these battles.

Polygamy has led many into graves and would continue if we do not adjust from it.

They both played their characters well and it depicts what is happening around us daily.

I rate Battle on Buka Street a 9/10 because it is intriguing but we are not sure if there is going to be a continuation of the movie
