"El mapa que me lleva a ti"*, es una película nueva, de este año y que llegué a ella por recomendación de Prime Video, sin embargo luego de verla, noté el por qué de tantas críticas.

Debo rescatar, que me encantaría un día poder viajar a Europa, mi sueño de niña nunca fue ir a Disney, fue ir a países como Italia, Suecia y otros tantos de Europa que tienen historia, arquitectura y una forma de hacer turismo, según yo, diferente, pues se respira el amor en el aire. Y sí, soy una romántica empedernida en ese sentido jajaja.

Ahora bien, volviendo a la realidad, yo como una persona adulta y pensante juzgue a la protagonista de esta historia muchas veces durante la trama, ya que esta película trata sobre un grupo de amigas que viajan a Europa antes de que una de ellas tuviera que irse a New York a vivir su vida muy bien planificada en base a su futuro. Heather, nuestra protagonista, en esta aventura conoce a un chico mochilero llamado Jack y comienzan un romance, segun la película, pues para mí es algo loco.

¿Por qué juzgué a Heather?

Simple, una chica joven, en otro pais con amigas y muy pocos encuentros con Jack, inicia así de la nada una relación con él. Faltaron más encuentros previos y faltó romance. Ella no solo no sabía nada de él, si no que además este se tornaba misterioso y muy egocéntrico. Quizás esto es lo que me pasa, que Jack, jamás seria mi tipo jajaja. Por otra parte, pensaba en la película "Búsqueda Implacable" y me decía que a Heather le faltó ver esa película, ya que en el segundo encuentro decidió quedarse a solas con Jack sin pensar en que este podia ser una mala persona.

‘The Map That Leads Me to You’* is a new film released this year that I came across thanks to a recommendation from Prime Video. However, after watching it, I understood why it had received so many negative reviews.

I must point out that I would love to travel to Europe one day. My childhood dream was never to go to Disneyland, but to visit countries such as Italy, Sweden and many others in Europe that have history, architecture and a different way of doing tourism, in my opinion, because you can feel the love in the air. And yes, I am a hopeless romantic in that sense, ha ha ha.

Now, back to reality, as a thinking adult, I judged the protagonist of this story many times during the plot, as this film is about a group of friends who travel to Europe before one of them has to go to New York to live her well-planned life based on her future. Heather, our protagonist, meets a backpacker named Jack on this adventure and they begin a romance, according to the film, which I find a bit crazy.

Why did I judge Heather?

Simple, a young girl, in another country with friends and very few encounters with Jack, starts a relationship with him out of nowhere. There weren't enough previous encounters and there wasn't enough romance. Not only did she know nothing about him, but he also became mysterious and very self-centred. Maybe this is what happens to me, that Jack would never be my type, ha ha ha. On the other hand, I thought about the film ‘Taken’ and told myself that Heather should have seen that film, since on their second date she decided to stay alone with Jack without thinking that he could be a bad person.

La historia pudo ser mejor. Entiendo que hay romances que se dan de la noche a la mañana, pero es que justo faltó más pasión, y aunque quisieron hacer una buena entrega con los sitios y tomas, como tal no lo logran. Hay mejores películas sin duda alguna. Me hubiera gustado que Heather fuera quien se iba a casar y dejará a su novio por Jack y Jack fuera más elegante, más romántico y menos orgulloso, también hubiera sido genial que el mapa del abuelo tuviera algo más especial y los uniera a ellos. Para mí, lo peor fue el final, y cuando al fin supe lo que realmente pasaba con Jack, más a mi favor me dije: Estamos película pudo ser mejor.

Siento que quisieron darle ese toque de "Yo antes de ti", pero aqui no sentí pena por la posibilidad de la muerte de uno de los protagonista, ni tampoco vi lógico que igual terminaran juntos. Insisto, faltó romance, para asi crear ese vínculo que hace que el espectador desee que si estén juntos los protagonistas.

Dinámica embargo, te invito a darle una oportunidad, ya que esta es solo la opinión de una aficionada por el romance.

The story could have been better. I understand that some romances happen overnight, but this one just lacked passion, and although they tried to make it work with the locations and shots, they didn't quite succeed. There are definitely better films out there. I would have liked Heather to be the one getting married and leaving her boyfriend for Jack, and for Jack to be more elegant, more romantic and less proud. It would also have been great if the grandfather's map had been something more special and brought them together. For me, the worst part was the ending, and when I finally found out what was really going on with Jack, I said to myself: this film could have been better.

I feel like they wanted to give it that “Me Before You” touch, but here I didn't feel sorry for the possibility of one of the protagonists dying, nor did I find it logical that they would end up together. I insist, it lacked romance, which is needed to create that bond that makes the viewer want the protagonists to be together.

However, I invite you to give it a chance, as this is just the opinion of a romance fan.
