Footloose 2011 | Reseña y Opinión [ESP-ENG]

Desde muy niña, mi gran pasión fue el baile y aunque dediqué gran parte de mi niñez y juventud a varios tipo de artes, no había nada que me apasionara más y por lo cual era capaz hasta de limpiar toda la casa cuando mi mamá me castigaba, que bailar.

Footloose, es un remake y una más de esas tantas películas de baile y romance que suelo ver y que realmente al hacerlo reviven en mi aquella pasión. El baile libera, así que genera bienestar, ya que puedes hablar y desahogarte a través de él. Y eso era lo que producía Ren McCormack, un joven citadino que llega a Bomont, un pueblo, luego de la muerte de su madre y tratará de cambiar las reglas.

Kenny Wormald, es además de actor, bailarín y es el protagonista de este remake que tuvo bastante críticas, ya que dicen que no aportó nada nuevo a la película original, sin embargo, como yo no ví la original 😂 pues me quedo con esta, que aunque habían cosas que me parecían muy tontas para la época, entiendo, si nos ponemos a conocer de historia.

Since I was a child, my great passion was dancing and although I dedicated a great part of my childhood and youth to various types of arts, there was nothing that I was more passionate about and for which I was even capable of cleaning the whole house when my mother punished me, than dancing.

Footloose, is a remake and one more of those many dance and romance movies that I usually watch and that really revive that passion in me. Dancing liberates, so it generates wellbeing, since you can talk and unburden yourself through it. And that's what Ren McCormack, a young city boy who arrives in Bomont, a small town, after the death of his mother, tries to change the rules.

Kenny Wormald, besides being an actor, is a dancer and is the protagonist of this remake that had quite a lot of criticism, since they say it did not bring anything new to the original film, however, as I did not see the original 😂 well I'll stick with this one, that although there were things that seemed very silly for the time, I understand, if we get to know history.

Está película enfoca la decisión absurda tomada por la "Ley y la Iglesia" en un pueblo luego de un hecho trágico, el cual los llevó a tomar decisiones muy radicales en todo sentido, pero más aún prohibiendo el baile e incluso escuchar música en alto volumen 🫣🤯. Más allá de la ley, al meter a la iglesia, cabe destacar que no se debe atacar a un grupo específico, en los pueblos de Estados Unidos y otros países funciona así, la iglesia (sea cristiana o vaticano) tiene gran influencia sobre los políticos del lugar y el pueblo.

Yo veo aquí es el enfoque a que las costumbres y el ser extremista nos puede llevar. Hay cosas importantes que rescatar, como el señalar a alguien bueno por un error cometido y buscar prohibir cosas como para que nadie más "cometa el mismo error". Las personas solemos equivocarnos y definitivamente a muchos adultos se les olvida que algunas vez también fueron jóvenes.

This film focuses on the absurd decision taken by the "Law and the Church" in a town after a tragic event, which led them to take very radical decisions in every way, but even more so by prohibiting dancing and even listening to loud music 🫣🤯. Beyond the law, when putting the church in, it is worth noting that one should not attack a specific group, in the towns of the United States and other countries it works like this, the church (whether Christian or Vatican) has great influence over the politicians of the place and the people.

I see here is the approach to which customs and being extremist can lead us. There are important things to rescue, such as pointing out someone good for a mistake made and seeking to prohibit things so that no one else "makes the same mistake". People tend to make mistakes and many adults definitely forget that they were once young too.

Ariel Moore, hija del Reverendo del Pueblo, quien es la actriz Julianne Hough, es muestra rebelde y resulta que ella también sufre pues la tragedia les tocó a todos en Bomont, en especial a su familia y está rebeldía la lleva a cometer algunos errores e incluso a romper reglas que su mismo padre había impuesto.

Ren McCormack junto a el apoyo de sus amigos, les mostrará a los líderes del pueblo que no está mal bailar e incluso usará las mismas armas del pueblo para presentar su propuesta y me quedo con una frase que dijo sobre el valor de la vida, confirmando que es verdad: "...todos nosotros (los jóvenes), pronto vamos a hacer como ustedes, vamos a tener trabajo, cuentas y familia y vamos a tener que preocuparnos... hay tiempo para todo, un tiempo para bailar y este es nuestro tiempo".

Ariel Moore, daughter of the Town Reverend, who is the actress Julianne Hough, is a rebel and it turns out that she also suffers because the tragedy touched everyone in Bomont, especially her family and this rebelliousness leads her to make some mistakes and even break rules that her own father had imposed.

Ren McCormack together with the support of her friends, will show the town leaders that it is not wrong to dance and she will even use the same weapons of the town to present her proposal and I will keep a phrase she said about the value of life, confirming that it is true: "...all of us (young people), soon we will do like you, we will have work, bills and family and we will have to worry... there is time for everything, a time to dance and this is our time".

Es verdad, ahora que soy mamá me cuesta sacar tiempo para bailar, pues ahora me preocupo y ocupo de mis hijos, la casa, el trabajo. Así que agradezco haber podido hacerlo en mi tiempo.

En esta película también resalta la actuacion de Dennis Quaid quien es el Reverendo Shaw Moore, y que al final tendrá que enfrentarse ante lo que es y lo que no, sus leyes humanas y la leyes que están escritas, sus ideales y su amor por la familia que aún le queda.

It's true, now that I'm a mom it's hard for me to find time to dance, because now I worry and take care of my children, the house, and work. So I am grateful that I have been able to do it in my time.

In this film also highlights the performance of Dennis Quaid as Reverend Shaw Moore, who in the end will have to face what he is and what he is not, his human laws and the laws that are written, his ideals and his love for the family he still has left.
