Have you thought about the before and after of our existence? || Soul Review

A few days ago, I was talking to my husband about this subject and asked him: Where were we before we came here and where are we going? The truth is that I believe that before and after life on this earth there is something else.

I recently won a Disney Plus account and there was this film SOUL, which is not only an animation, but also has a bit of comedy in it. When it came out in 2020, several people recommended it, saying it was cute, so I decided to watch it.

Unos días atrás, hablaba con mi esposo sobre este tema y le preguntaba: ¿Dónde estábamos antes de venir aquí y a dónde iremos? Lo cierto es que yo creo que antes y después de la vida en esta tierra hay algo más.

Hace poco me gané una cuenta Disney plus y estaba está película SOUL, la cual además de ser una animación, tiene algo de comedia. Cuando salió en el 2020, varias personas la recomendaba, diciendo que era linda, así que decidí verla.

Soul

I didn't expect it to be about something so impressive, despite its name, something that most or almost all human beings have wondered about:

Where do we come from?

Where are we going?

What is my purpose?

No esperaba que tratara de algo tan impresionante, a pesar de su nombre, algo que la mayoría o casi todos los seres humanos nos hemos preguntado:

¿De dónde venimos?

¿A dónde iremos?

¿Cuál es mi propósito?

The spark

My mother always tells me that she is not going to die until she fulfils her purpose, but does she know what it is? The truth is that many die without even knowing what they really wanted in life and without that spark, for which they came into this world.

There are those who live so engrossed in achieving a goal, like Professor Joe, who believed that his only purpose in life was to play the Jaz, because that was his passion, and they lose their life in it, the joy or the spark of life.

Mi mamá siempre me dice que ella no se va a morir hasta cumplir su propósito, pero, ¿sabrá cual es? Lo cierto es que muchos mueren sin saber tan siquiera lo que querían realmente en su vida y sin esa chispa, por la cual vinieron a este mundo.

Existen quienes viven tan enfrascados en lograr conseguir una meta, así como el profesor Joe, quien creía que su único propósito en la vida, era toca el Jaz, pues esa era su pasión, y se pierden la vida en ello, la alegría o la chispa del vivir.

It is not wrong to pursue our goals or dreams, but we should not waste the rest of our lives, just to go after a dream and then when we achieve it and look around us, we realise that we have gained something, but lost a lot.

This film calls us to reflect and wow that 22 is so right in its words. The child soul that helps Joe, knows more about life, than he who has lived one.

The truth is, no human being wants to die, we were born to be eternal, but the wickedness of humanity has shortened its days and seeing Joe running and fleeing from his final destiny, I imagine Eli doing exactly the same hahaha.

No está mal buscar cumplir nuestras metas o sueños, pero no debemos desperdiciar el resto de nuestras vidas, solo por ir detras de un sueño y luego cuando lo logremos y vemos al nuestro alrededor, nos demos cuenta que hemos ganado algo, perdiendo mucho.

Esta película nos llama a reflexionar y wow que 22 tiene mucha razón en sus palabras. El alma infantil que ayuda a Joe, sabe más de la vida, que él que ha vivido una.

Lo cierto es, que ningún ser humano quiere morir, nacimos par ser eternos, pero la maldad de la humanidad ha acortado sus días y al ver a Joe correr y huyendo de sus destino final, me imagino a Eli haciendo exactamente lo mismo jajaja.

Another thing that this film makes us see is the power of words, with what we say we can destroy or lift someone up, there are those who live in constant failure, because a mentor (parents, representatives, teachers or people they admired) told them that they were worthless and could not do it.

In SOUL, there are new opportunities, but sometimes in real life, those opportunities don't exist. Let us live our present as if it were the last day and enjoy every moment, before our souls return to the afterlife from whence they came.

Otra cosa que esta película hace ver, es el poder de las palabras, con lo que decimos podemos destruir o levantar a alguien, hay quienes viven en un fracaso constante, por que un mentor (padres, representantes, profesores o seres que admiraban) les dijeron que no valian para nada y no podían hacerlo.

En SOUL, hay nuevas oportunidades, pero a veces en la vida real, esas oportunidades no existen. Vivamos nuestro presente como si fuera el último día y disfrutemos cada momento, antes que nuestras almas vuelvan al más allá de donde han venido.
