Colombiana is an action film starring Zoe Saldana as Cataleya, a young Colombian lady who played triple roles as a deadly hitman, a ruthless vigilante and a lover girl.

After witnessing how her parents were murder by their boss who could pass for a drug lord as a child, Cataleya grows up with a singular purpose which was to track down and assassinate Marco Mejia, the man responsible for her parents' death and his compliance

It took great effort for her uncle to convince her to acquire western education in other to broaden her knowledge. After fifteen years of laying low and strategic planning,she started her execucustion one after the other. Before the end of a month, she had killed twenty two people.

Cataleya's uncle became afraid of the death of those people being traced back to their family but she was not ready to listen. One thing that lead the FBI and police in investigating the case was that who so ever cataleya killed, she draws the cataleya flower on their body.

Some things that caught my attention in the film are listed below:
Cataleya's parents were killed by Colombian criminals when she was just 9 years old.
She escapes to Chicago, where she was raised by her uncle who was also a gangstar.
Cataleya became a skilled assassinator who takes killing contracts to eliminate men associated with her parents' death.
She leaves a signature of cataleya flower at each crime scene, which made the FBI to trace the crime to her. This lead to the assassination of her uncle and grandmother who were her only surviving family.
Cataleya was not sure of getting justice from the government so she took law into her own hands and handle things her way.

Some of the themes are
****Trauma: Cataleya was traumatized by her parents assassination but she was calm even though she knew she was in the deen of evil people.

****Revenge: She was hell bent on revenging her parents death that she almost dropped out of school.

**** Corruption: This was shown in the way the head teacher of the school were Cataleya was enrolled in Chicago, also when it became evident that the criminals had an inside men among the men of the force.

Action : the film Colombiana is an action film that keeps on glued to the screen from staring to finish. The main character Zoe Saldana who played Cataleya interpreted her role well both as a young girl and an adult.

Here is my honest opinion about Colombiana.
Though some moves made by Saldana in achieving her goal are questionable but she interpreted her role well so I will rate the film seven over ten 7/10.
