I have given this a whole lot of thoughts has to why we need to rebrand and step up our games in the entertainment industry especially nollywood

Dating back to when it all began with incredible actors and actresses you saw 100% originality, passion put into work it was fun and exciting almost unpredictability of unfolding events in a plot, and so you watch with suspense and ecstasy

I am a biased fan of Nigerian films, biased in the sensed that am not all into it am a critic as well, I get upset at certain action an am like? What were they thinking how does this action really apply to the human real sense, how does it relate to life, because to me I believe the essence of any movies should be to tell a story whether fiction or non-fiction, it should somehow relate to real life happening both sequence of even should all boil down to a unifies whole, but now if you seek this in a Nigerian movies I bet you will be disappointed

Last night I was watching a Nigerian movie on youtube Tailor my heart because my favorite actor was in it, Frederick leonard I had to give it a shot, but then I was so upset with the director the producer and everything sucks, I tried all means to get to the bottom of it but I still couldn’t

And so once I start watching and I can tell from the organization if the movie is a mess, from the first plot if conversation do not align with character and gesture ..snap am out…
And most times you can correctly predict the sequence of event and how it will all go down at last and so?, what’s the point?

Basically there are very few of them that are up to standard rating

In the likes of Hollywood you find out that movies are kind of on the go training for safety, alertness, real time happenings and they put in so much work facilities, men, resources, time to ensure it’s a perfect the goal is to pass a message across, well I know these nations are well developed and they got facilities, the essence of it is to pass the message to everyone,

Am not really here to criticize Nollywood but to pinpoint some very essential things that are of necessity in the movie industry, its time Nollywood broaden their horizon to bring the real situations and happenings around us all into the movies scene not only that but also in a kind of way providing solution to life time issues ravaging the nation at these time

in Nigeria the entertainment industries is not taken seriously, it’s all crab, especially Nollywood putting up irrelevant actions on screen with only three or four actors, in one location, a lot need to be done to review and upgrade the system …

Thankyou for reading thru

When it comes to Nollywood I do understand that most of the movies are trash and that's mainly because of poor script writing. We need talent in this area. Also poor and mass production is another issue bedeviling the Nollywood. Most of the people invested are only considered about quick gains However, I think there should be more investment in the Nollywood industry so they can produce quality movies. Most of the movies we see are low budget and it is quite difficult to replicate the quality we see in Hollywood movies. So I do cut Nollywood some slacks sometimes.

Definitely I really agree with you brother I know budget constraint is an issue. ..
How about quality script production and all that, i sometimes wonder when I watch some blunder in movies an am like how does this even make sense to the director or the script writer, didn't somebody notice this and may b suggest better?

Everything is not about money good script and production first, at least we re not kids in films production

Imagine days when nollywood started with pet edochie, usofia, kenneth okonkwo, etc you could never predict what will happen, there was no money but still the movies then make sense compared to what we see now

If I am an investor I would not put my money into what is not promising
So there's really need to look into all these...
Thanks brother for coming around
