A story about the power of love that’s most likely to stay with you forever. Built on the timeless romance on two people from completely different world. This movie was released on the 25th of June, 2004, directed by Nick Cassavetes.

The Plot

Noah Calhoun, a Mill worker falls in love with Allie Hamilton who comes from wealth. Noah lived in the countryside, a small town where he probably knows everybody. Allie is from the city and only visited the town with her family for a carefree summer.

Now, Noah and Allie were total lovebirds. They had a plan to buy a house and build it exactly to Allie’s preference - White painting and an open window where she could see the river and be able to paint. But Allie’s mother was against him because he came from a poor background. They had to break things up.

Seven years passed in a flash, Allie’s life was set in the city. She worked as a nurse, and had a fiancé. They were going strong and he was rich, exactly what her mother wanted.

Noah had finished the house, and despite people coming in with prices to buy the house, he refused, because well…he’d built the house for Allie.

Allie’s whole life turned upside down. She was debating between Noah and her fiancé because she really loved Noah. And when she saw that the house was exactly what she’d wanted, her feelings were in a jumbled mess.

My Thoughts

I loved Noah, his undying and devoted feelings towards Allie had me all over him. Kind of raised my standards a bit, lol. The fact that he wrote letters to her for 365 days had me twirling in my bed. It was just so touching. Noah told Allie “Anything you want me to be, I can be that for you.” Typical Noah.

I was glad Allie chose to be with Noah. Of course she would, it was what she’d always wanted. Noah never broke his promise, and she did what she loved when she was with him.

Allie asked Noah if he thinks their love is powerful enough for them to go together on the same day and Noah said, "I think our love can do anything we want it to". They held hands, slept on the same bed and died together…on the same day.

It's surprising how a movie can make you feel so much after a scene.

This movie shows how powerful and intentional love really is. And that if somebody really loves you, they’ll do anything just to keep you by their side.

Their felt sooo real. It makes you believe in that kind of love. If someone looked at me and loved me the way Noah loved Allie, I’d melt.

I’d rate this film a 9/10. And would recommend to anyone looking for a love story that’ll bring butterflies in their stomach.
