I never planned on watching K-dramas anytime soon, but then I stumbled upon an edit on TikTok which actually got my attention.

I've always enjoyed watching K-drama rom-coms. So I guess that was why I ended up binge-watching 'Would You Marry Me' in a day, and honestly speaking, it was worth every hour.

The drama stars was Yu Me-ri played by Jung So Min and Kim Wooju played by Choi Woo-shik. The movie started in an unexpected but interesting way. It was able to build that suspense that kept me going.

Yu Me-ri discovered that her fiance, the man she trusted and supposedly planned her future with, cheated on her. Her entire future was practically built around him.

And she discovered that the house she was promised is tied to a marriage, if she wasn't married, she would loose the house. And since she already lost her fiance, she leaned to another option.

That's when Kim Wooju, who happens to have the same name as her ex-fiance comes in. For reasons that benefit them both, they agree to a fake marriage. Their agreement was to act as a couple for a short time and go their own ways afterwards.

But as the drama goes on, their fake marriage started to feel less fake. Yu Me-ri saw Kim Wooju as someone dependable and someone who understands her without her having to say anything.

Just when things starts to feel stable, Her ex-fiance comes back claiming he still loves her and wants her back, and then, real drama begins.

Watching both characters open up and finally express their feelings was one of the most satisfying part in the series.

However, some part were kind of predictable, especially if you've seen a lot of K-dramas before, like me.

You can guess certain things was going to happen before they actually do. But trust me, it doesn't ruin the movie, it's rather comfortable. To me, it was like revisiting a familiar feeling.

Visually, the drama is pleasing. The movie gives that warm and romantic vibe that's really enjoyable. It's the kind of K-drama you watch to smile and relax.

'Would You Marry Me' really stuck after watching. It reminds you that love doesn't always start perfectly. Sometimes it begins as temporary, practical or fake, but then it slowly turns into something real.

And sometimes that's exactly what makes a drama memorable.
