Traigo una joya de los 80's, esta película bien vale la pena verla y presentarla aquí por muchas razones que os estaré explicando durante todo el post. Las generaciones actuales tal vez no conozcan esta película, sería estupendo la disfrutaran y vieran la diferencia de los efectos especiales del cine de aquella época y la diferencia de los efectos especiales introducidos actualmente en las películas donde la gran mayoría es IA.
Mi algoritmo en las aplicaciones al ver que me interesa ver películas antiguas, siempre me está mostrando ello, hay películas que puedo volver a ver y lo agradezco, pero el caso de Labyrinth no lo había visto.
Para nosotros los fans de Atreyu, Fújur y Ártax pudimos revivir la historia con la misma animación y fantasía de "The never ending history" de 1984 con esta "Labyrinth" en 1986, no tienen que ver en nada una con la otra en cuanto a dirección, rodaje, edición, pero me parece que esta última está inspirada en la animación, así como ocurrió con ET.
De igual manera ET, The never ending history y Labyrinth son tres joyas fantásticas del cine de las que ya no producen, aun con toda la tecnología de estos días, no pueden estar a su altura.

I bring a jewel of the 80's, this movie is well worth watching and present it here for many reasons that I will be explaining throughout the post. The current generations may not know this movie, it would be great to enjoy it and see the difference of the special effects of the cinema of that time and the difference of the special effects introduced today in movies where the vast majority is AI.
My algorithm in the apps seeing that I am interested in watching old movies, well it is always showing me that, there are movies that I can watch again and I appreciate it, but the case of Labyrinth I had not seen it.
For us fans of Atreyu, Fújur and Ártax we could relive the story with the same animation and fantasy of "The never ending history" from 1984 with this "Labyrinth" in 1986, they have nothing to do with each other in terms of direction, shooting, editing, but it seems to me that the latter is inspired by the animation, as happened with ET.
In the same way ET, The never ending history and Labyrinth are three fantastic jewels of cinema of which they no longer produce, even with all the technology of these days, they can not be at their height.

Por supuesto... lo que me hizo entrar a ver la película fue ver a David Bowie como protagonista, que lo conocía como cantante y de la que soy fan de su estilo musical y su particular personalidad, maquillajes y vestimentas, conocer su faceta como actor fue fantástica y me atrevo a decir que muy buena.
Labyrinth tiene una historia con un trasfondo, es una película de fantasía pero tiene una historia oculta que al descubrirla tuve que verla dos veces para confirmar y allí cambié totalmente mi percepción sobre cada personaje. En la película pensé que trataba temas de egoísmo y problemas cotidianos de la familia, pero me tropecé con una historia detrás de los hechos donde explicaba cada personaje en la historia, lo que significaba en la vida real de la protagonista Sarah Williams y dónde podríamos encontrar el personaje en su habitación en su vida real... estos descubrimientos fueron sorprendentes. Entonces el tema principal de la película aunque no lo creas es las drogas y según lo que comprendí son los 7 pecados capitales a los que también de forma subliminal vemos el deseo y el sexo aunque no lo puedas ver recreado allí en forma directa.
Por supuesto, la banda sonora es exquisita, la voz de David Bowie, su estilo musical y todos los personajes de fantasía interactuando y bailando junto a él.
La historia atrapa, cautiva y la belleza, aparente inocencia y dulzura de Jennifer Connelly que interpreta a Sarah Williams atrapa aun más. El vestuario es demasiado lindo, me encanta porque soy muy fan de ese estilo, el escenario, la edición, todo me pareció estupendo, para mí fue como revivir mis tiempos en The never ending history.

Of course... what made me go in to see the movie was to see David Bowie as the main character, I knew him as a singer and I am a fan of his musical style and his particular personality, make up and clothes, to know his facet as an actor was fantastic and I dare to say very good.
Labyrinth has a story with a background, it is a fantasy movie but it has a hidden story that when I discovered it I had to watch it twice to confirm and there I totally changed my perception about each character. In the movie I thought it dealt with themes of selfishness and everyday family problems, but I stumbled upon a back story where it explained each character in the story, what it meant in the real life of the main character Sarah Williams and where we could find the character in her room in her real life... these discoveries were surprising. So the main theme of the movie believe it or not is drugs and from what I understood are the 7 deadly sins to which we also subliminally see desire and sex although you can't see it recreated there in a direct way.
Of course, the soundtrack is exquisite, David Bowie's voice, his musical style and all the fantasy characters interacting and dancing along with him.
The story catches, captivates and the beauty, apparent innocence and sweetness of Jennifer Connelly who plays Sarah Williams catches even more. The costumes are too cute, I love it because I'm a big fan of that style, the scenery, the editing, everything was great, for me it was like reliving my time in The never ending history.

Que no te confunda, no solo está hablando de la niña consentida, maltratada por su madrastra o a niña malcriada que quiere hacer su voluntad y desafiar a sus padres, una adolescente confundida, rebelde, soñadora e inmadura... En esta película se tratan temas muy profundos que tienes que ir descubriendo.
Amé todas las escenas, los personajes, la historia, luego de conocer el trasfondo creo que la amé mucho más, no sé cómo no pude verlo si lo habla en un lenguaje bastante claro.
Labyrinth es un clásico imposible de ver una sola vez, refleja partes de nuestra vida, nuestras luchas diarias en cada criatura, también es rica en valores, como son la amistad, la honestidad, el amor, el respeto, la tolerancia, solidaridad, la justicia, empatía, entre otros. Así que no solo estaría tocando temas de adicciones sino podríamos extraer cosas positivas de ellas de una manera muy bonita.
Como anécdota personal puedo decir que hay canciones de David Bowie donde aparecen escenas de la película y yo no sabía pero siempre me gustaron, ahora encontré la respuesta, pertenecen a Labyrinth, descubrirlo fue asombroso.

I loved all the scenes, the characters, the story, after knowing the background I think I loved it much more, I don't know how I couldn't see it if it speaks it in a quite clear language.
Labyrinth is a classic impossible to watch only once, it reflects parts of our life, our daily struggles in every creature, it is also rich in values, such as friendship, honesty, love, respect, tolerance, solidarity, justice, empathy, among others. So I would not only be touching on addictions but we could extract positive things from them in a very nice way.
As a personal anecdote I can say that there are songs by David Bowie where scenes from the film appear and I didn't know but I always liked them, now I found the answer, they belong to Labyrinth, discovering it was amazing.

Tremenda joya. Una de las primeras películas que vi en una sala de cine siendo niño. Se viene el Remake y estara a cargo de Robert Eggers. Aun no hay elenco , esta en etapa de pre producción.
Gracias por el honor. Lo del remake no lo sabia, ahhh lo espero con ansias, ojalá respeten la animación antigua y no coloque más IA o lo de ahora, se pierte mucha magia asi. Me intriga, quien podría superar al gran David?, David es arte... :s
Una buena historia hace que valga la pena la película, es mucho más importante que los efectos especiales o tener actores famosos, si no hay sustancia en la historia, difícilmente será un filme recordado. Se aplica también en las animaciones y en la mayoría de los videojuegos.
Recuerdo haberla visto un par de veces, y encontrar media docena de análisis en YouTube tratando de explicar el significado oculto de la trama. Y algunos son bastante variados, aun con los años vale la pena volver a verla y disfrutar de la aventura.
Como cosa rara no la he visto, pero como la describes considero que vale la pena ver. A mi me encanta todo que tenga inmerso los valores.
