¡Hola! Soy yo Equipodelta y vengo a recomendarte películas viejitas pero bonitas.
Todavía no supero esta película, empiezo a redactar mi experiencia y empiezo a llorar de nuevo, me dio hondo en el corazón. Es muy dulce, muy bonita al final. Así que, si quieren algo de cursilería y romanticismo, llorar un poquito, se las recomiendo.
Brendan Fraser... hay muchas películas que no he visto de él, lo conocí en George de la jungla y luego me impresionó con su atractivo en "Al Diablo con el Diablo" puedo decir que fue uno de mis amores platónicos de mi adolescencia - Corría los años 90's - Claro... en la Momia, terminó por conquistar muchos corazones más.
Escroleando las películas que él actúa, buscaba "Al Diablo con el Diablo" era la que quería ver, quería reírme un rato pues esa película me encanta, elegí por error Still Breathing que la puedes encontrar con otros nombres en español como: La chica de mis sueños o unidos por el destino, pasados los 15 minutos de la película me dije que no era la que quería ver sin embargo, podía dar un vistazo para compartirla por aquí asi que, seguí mirando y disfrutando la nueva experiencia porque no había visto nunca esta película.
Ya saben... me gustan las películas románticas viejitas... tal vez tampoco la has visto y si la viste, me cuentas tu experiencia.

I'm still not over this movie, I start to write my experience and I start to cry again, it hit me deep in my heart. It's very sweet, very pretty in the end. So, if you want some cheesiness and romance, cry a little bit, I recommend it.
Brendan Fraser... there are many movies I haven't seen of him, I met him in George of the Jungle and then he impressed me with his attractiveness in "To the Devil with the Devil" I can say that he was one of my platonic loves of my adolescence - It was the 90's - Of course... in the Mummy, he ended up conquering many more hearts.
Scanning the movies that he acts, I was looking for "Al Diablo con el Diablo" was the one I wanted to see, I wanted to laugh for a while because I love that movie, I chose by mistake Still Breathing that you can find it with other names in Spanish as: La chica de mis sueños or unidos por el destino, after 15 minutes of the movie I said to myself that it was not the one I wanted to see however, I could take a look to share it around here so, I kept watching and enjoying the new experience because I had never seen this movie before.
You know... I like old romantic movies... maybe you haven't seen it either and if you did, tell me about your experience.

La historia me encantó, pero vine a entender la idea ya pasados los 45 minutos pues déjenme decirles que la película dura al rededor de 1:45 minutos. Puedo decir muchas cosas a través de mi experiencia espero no extenderme mucho...
Ley de atracción...
Fletcher (Brendan Fraser) es un artista callejero, serio, de buena familia, buenos principios, es buena gente, dedica su tiempo a alegrar corazones en los hospitales o personas con alguna enfermedad con sus marionetas o tocando la trompeta al ritmo de jazz junto a su abuela Ida (Celeste Holm). Tienen una extraña superstición de que encuentran al amor de sus vidas en sueños o proyectándose con ella.
Fletcher nos vende la idea más cercana a lo que conozco como "ley de atracción" pues es tanta la energía que dedica en tener lo que desea, que se proyecta, traza planos y se guía por el poder de su intuición, que no le queda otra al universo que llevarlo a donde quiere... Pero allí un pequeño defecto en el cual me identifico bastante y por eso lloré.
El universo pudo atraer a Fletcher la mujer que estaba manifestando, pero tenía defectos; era interesada y estafadora. Él hacía collages de fracciones del rostro cuando soñaba con su chica, para saber cómo era y hasta dónde buscarla. Guiado por su intuición a través de un sueño, pensó que la chica vivía en japón y preparó su viaje, el avión hace escala en algún lugar de Estados Unidos y se da cuenta que el nombre del lugar que vio en sueños, lo tenía en frente, muy seguro de él mismo y su intuición, entró al lugar para conseguir a la chica de sus sueños.

Fletcher (Brendan Fraser) is a street performer, serious, good family, good principles, good people, devotes his time to gladden hearts in hospitals or people with a disease with his puppets or playing the trumpet to the rhythm of jazz with his grandmother Ida (Celeste Holm). They have a strange superstition that they meet the love of their lives in dreams or by projecting themselves with her.
Fletcher sells us the idea closer to what I know as “law of attraction” because he devotes so much energy to have what he wants, that he projects himself, draws plans and is guided by the power of his intuition, that the universe has no other choice but to take him where he wants... The universe could attract to Fletcher the woman he was manifesting, but she was flawed; she was self-serving and a con artist. He would make collages of fractions of the face when he dreamed of his girl, so he would know what she looked like and how far to look for her. Guided by his intuition through a dream, he thought that the girl lived in Japan and prepared his trip, the plane stopped somewhere in the United States and he realized that the name of the place he saw in his dreams was in front of him, very sure of himself and his intuition, he entered the place to get the girl of his dreams.

Por su parte Rosalyn (Joanna Going) estafa hombres junto a un equipo en el cual valiéndose de su belleza los hace comprar cuadros costosos para luego revenderlos, luego que lo logra, se hace pasar por alguien enferma y ellos salen despavoridos. Siempre los cita en esa cafetería donde Fletcher llegó buscando la mujer de sus sueños, ella pensaba que Fletcher era su siguiente cita a estafar y en medio de la confusión, ella aplicó sus artimañas para conquistarlo sin saber que Fletcher era tan adorable que la fue conquistando sin darse cuenta. Algo como "estafador estafado" salvo que Fletcher solo tenía buenas intenciones con ella.
Rosalyn ya avanzado el tiempo hasta conocer a su familia y lo que hace se dio cuenta que era el hombre equivocado, cuando quiso dejarlo no pudo, ella se había enamorado. Fletcher sabía que ella no era tan buena persona, pero aun así la aceptó con sus defectos y apostó por el cambio de ella y que se quedaran juntos.
Parece que el universo no te dará todo tan perfecto... Tienes que seguir trabajando en ello y por ello, no es tan fácil, tal vez, por que si es fácil no lo agradecerías o no lo valorarías.

For her part Rosalyn (Joanna Going) swindles men with a team in which using her beauty she makes them buy expensive paintings and then resell them, after she succeeds, she pretends to be someone sick and they leave in panic. She always dates them in that coffee shop where Fletcher arrived looking for the woman of his dreams, she thought that Fletcher was her next date to swindle and in the middle of the confusion, she applied her wiles to conquer him without knowing that Fletcher was so adorable that he was conquering her without realizing it. Something like "con man conned" except that Fletcher had only good intentions with her.
Rosalyn and advanced the time to know his family and what he does she realized that he was the wrong man, when she wanted to leave him she could not, she had fallen in love. Fletcher knew that she was not such a good person, but still accepted her with her flaws and bet on her change and that they would stay together.
It seems that the universe won't give you everything so perfect.... You have to keep working at it and because of that, it's not that easy, maybe, because if it's easy you wouldn't appreciate it or you wouldn't value it.

Unidos por el destino...
Al principio no entendía la película, no entendía a lo que se dedicaba Rosalyn y la interacción de Fletcher con su extraña tradición supersticiosa familiar, por eso le di un 4, tal vez no sea muy justo porque el final, el final estuvo demasiado bueno, es de esas películas que parte en un punto y es algo circular, porque recorres la historia y todo se entrelaza para llegar al mismo lugar... Si, es algo confuso...
Puedo decir que la fotografía, los escenarios los vas a disfrutar mucho, la interacción de todos los personajes es hermosa, es llena de amor, ternura, familiaridad, dulzura, amé la interpretación de Ida, creo que es la abuela que todos quisiéramos tener. Con esto resumo que, Fraser y Joanna me hicieron creer en sus personajes y en la historia, sus interpretaciones estuvieron a la altura y no solo ellos, cada actor, fue impecable.
Es extraño que esta película no tuviera mucho renombre en su época, no fuera exitosa como las otras, pero creo que fue definiendo a Brendan como actor para películas románticas, dramáticas y modo comedia, una buena ensalada rusa.
¿Qué podemos aprender de esta película?
Ley de atracción, confiar en nuestra intuición, luchar por nuestros sueños, proyectarnos, enfocarnos, ser mejores personas, tener siempre fe que merecemos lo bueno, lo mejor, respetar nuestras tradiciones familiares, a pesar de todo... No dejes de creer en el amor verdadero.
Si te gustan las películas de comedia romántica y que te hagan llorar, pues te recomiendo esta, me ha encantado.

At the beginning I didn't understand the movie, I didn't understand what Rosalyn was doing and Fletcher's interaction with his strange superstitious family tradition, that's why I gave it a 4, maybe it's not very fair because the ending, the ending was too good, it's one of those movies that starts at a point and it's something circular, because you go through the story and everything is intertwined to get to the same place... Yes, it's a bit confusing...
I can say that the photography, the scenery you will enjoy a lot, the interaction of all the characters is beautiful, it is full of love, tenderness, familiarity, sweetness, I loved Ida's performance, I think she is the grandmother we all would like to have. With this I summarize that, Fraser and Joanna made me believe in their characters and in the story, their performances were up to par and not only them, every actor, was impeccable.
It's strange that this movie didn't have much renown in its time, it wasn't successful like the others, but I think it was defining Brendan as an actor for romantic movies, dramatic and comedy mode, a good Russian salad.
What can we learn from this film?
Law of attraction, trusting our intuition, fighting for our dreams, projecting ourselves, focusing, being better people, always having faith that we deserve the good, the best, respecting our family traditions, despite everything? Don't stop believing in true love.
If you like romantic comedy movies that make you cry, I recommend this one, I loved it.

Hola @equipodelta 🥰, esta película si la ví, aunque ya la había olvidado, por las imágenes y tu reseña la recordé.
El hombre ingenuo y romántico y la chica lista que al final se enamora. Definitivamente es una película para volver a creer en el amor, seguir soñando y confiar en nuestra intuición o mantener la fe.
Hola amiga, es así como lo describes, el hombre ingenuo que se enamora de una chica mala, oportunista, pero su amor por ella logra transformarla. Me encantaría volver a creer en el amor.

Soy un poco cursi pero no hago caso a lo que digan el publico de galerías. Hace muchos años el cine se dividía en dos lugares de butacas y la galería eran las entradas más baratas y también donde se armaba el desorden. Entonces en mi pueblo todavía dicen: "echan más vaina que publico de galería".
A ese publico no se le hace caso y me gusta llorar con mi pañuelito y disfruto mis películas románticas. Las amo y si tienen un final feliz es lo mejor. Oh la la
Brendan Fraser es muy buen actor pero creo que la Momia lo encasillo.

Jajajaja, recuerdo eso de los cines amiga, pero nunca pude ir a uno de joven. Entonces amiga, somos del team lloron, romanticon que nos gustan las películas viejas, nuestros actores de epoca, porque al menos en mi caso, no entiendo qué esta pasando en el cine... Todo es violencia y sexo.
Creo que para nuestra Brendan la momia mas bien le cambió la vida de forma negativa ya que desde alli desapareció y estuvo muy mal de salud... Le costó reponerse, pero ahi viene al ruedo, tengo que ver sus siguientes películas, aunque por los cortes, no me agrada mucho me lo pongan como alguien regordete y feo.
