En esta historia seguimos a un hombre que es perseguido por una organización que encubre casos de aparición extraterrestres en la Tierra y hace experimentos con ellos. Daniel les robo toda la información clasificada para revelársela al mundo y ahora deberá evitar que lo atrapen. Del otro lado, hay una comunicadora del clima que empieza a tener un comportamiento extraño tras un encuentro con un pájaro, ahora parece vislumbrar saberes que escapan a su comprensión. El camino de ellos dos se va a cruzar para luchar contra esta organización y desbaratarles los planes.

In this story, we follow a man who is being hunted by an organization that covers up cases of alien sightings on Earth and conducts experiments on them. Daniel stole all their classified information to reveal it to the world, and now he must avoid being caught. On the other hand, there is a weather reporter who begins to act strangely after an encounter with a bird; she now seems to glimpse knowledge that is beyond her understanding. Their paths will cross as they fight against this organization and thwart its plans.

Una película sobre encuentros con extraterrestres siempre es bienvenida en mi vida. No sé qué esperaba de esta filmación la verdad, antes de verla ya había leído un par de opiniones variadas, pero quería tener mi propia visión. Debo decir que me gustó, no creó que sea una obra brillante, pero está bien, al menos yo la disfrute.

A movie about encounters with aliens is always welcome in my life. To be honest, I don't know what I expected from this film; before watching it, I'd already read a couple of mixed reviews, but I wanted to form my own opinion. I have to say I liked it—I don't think it's a masterpiece, but it's okay; at least I enjoyed it.

Es un poco extraño como se van dando los hechos, al principio es muy confusa y no ofrece explicación de nada, los hechos son los que nos muestran y ya está, no hay más. No hay lugar para cuestionar nada porque si lo haces igual no vas a obtener respuestas. Así que mi consejo es que se sumerjan en la película y disfruten, o no, lo que les quiera contar. Sí creo que tiene bastantes escenas de persecución y acción que la hace más dinámica, y otro tanto sin sentido. Pero bien, a mí me gustó y me convenció, por lo menos me resulto entretenida.

It’s a little strange how the events unfold; at first, it’s very confusing and offers no explanation for anything—it just shows us what happens, and that’s it; there’s nothing more. There’s no point in questioning anything because if you do, you won’t get any answers anyway. So my advice is to just immerse yourselves in the movie and enjoy—or not—whatever it has to offer. I do think it has quite a few chase and action scenes that make it more dynamic, and just as many that are nonsensical. But anyway, I liked it and found it convincing; at the very least, I found it entertaining.

Me pareció un poco loco lo de los experimentos y ese tipo de material raro que usaban para rastrearse entre humanos, no sé ni cómo se llama, creo que no lo dijeron, así que no sé cuál es su funcionalidad en sí porque también lo usaron para más acciones. Es una película confusa por momentos, te deja a la deriva con tus propias interpretaciones. Es como si intentarán decir mucho, pero sin decir nada en lo absoluto, no sé si tiene sentido esto que les comento.

I thought the whole thing with the experiments and that weird stuff they used to track each other among humans was a little crazy—I don’t even know what it’s called; I don’t think they mentioned it, so I’m not sure what its actual purpose is, especially since they also used it for other things. It’s a confusing movie at times; it leaves you adrift with your own interpretations. It’s as if they’re trying to say a lot, but without actually saying anything at all—I don’t know if what I’m saying makes sense.

Aunque debo decir que no me imaginaba que el momento de la revelación, viendo todos esos vídeos de encuentros con los extraterrestres, me causara tal impresión y estaba tan impactada como la periodista que cubría las notas. Estuve visiblemente afectada, así que, o soy muy sensible, o hicieron bastante creíble esa parte. Es que un poco juega con lo que muchas personas creemos, que es que sí existen estos seres, no sé si con la misma apariencia, pero sí los hay. Y la posibilidad de que los torturen así o los tengan prisioneros me indigna y me da pena.

Although I have to say that I never imagined that the moment of revelation—watching all those videos of encounters with extraterrestrials—would make such an impression on me, and I was just as shocked as the journalist covering the story. I was visibly shaken, so either I’m very sensitive, or they made that part quite believable. It’s just that it plays a little on what many of us believe—that these beings do exist; I don’t know if they look exactly the same, but they’re out there. And the possibility that they’re being tortured like that or held prisoner outrages me and fills me with sorrow.

Tampoco se entiende mucho lo que hicieron con los protagonistas cuando eran niños al otorgarle esos dones que despertaron en la adultez, entiendo el propósito quizás, pero no todo lo demás, y porqué tardaron tanto en manifestarse, ¿cuál era el sentido? Salvarlos, tal vez. Al final terminé con más dudas que certezas, y este no ayudo tampoco porque termino muy abierto. No me gustan los finales tan abiertos, pero me lo veía venir. Es como les dije, una película que no dice nada nuevo, pero está entretenida y predica sobre la empatía. Así que si no la vieron y tienen ganas se las recomiendo. No más vayan sin esperar nada y con la mente abierta.

It’s also not entirely clear what they did to the main characters when they were children to give them those gifts that awakened in adulthood. I understand the purpose, perhaps, but not everything else—and why did it take so long for them to manifest? What was the point? To save them, maybe. In the end, I was left with more questions than answers, and the ending didn’t help either because it’s so open-ended. I don’t like open-ended endings, but I saw it coming. It’s like I said—a movie that doesn’t say anything new, but it’s entertaining and preaches empathy. So if you haven’t seen it and feel like watching it, I recommend it. Just go in without expecting anything and keep an open mind.
