¡Hola amigos! Hoy me paso por acá para traerles mi opinión acerca de un thriller que se estreno hace poco, la película se llama La empleada.

Hello, friends! Today I'm stopping by to share my opinion about a thriller that was recently released. The movie is called The Housemaid.

En esta historia conoceremos a dos mujeres, Millie y Nina. La primera es una joven que estuvo 10 años en prisión y ahora busca volver a la sociedad y para ello necesita un trabajo. Ahí entra Nina, una mujer que está casada con un millonario y necesita una empleada que la ayude con las tareas del hogar. Es el empleo que Millie tanto quería, con cama adentro a pesar de que la casa es grande y a ella le asignaron una ratonera en el ático, pero la paga es buena y la mantiene en orden, lista para volver a encausar su vida. Hasta que se da cuenta que la salud mental de Nina no es la mejor, tiene ataques de ira que dan miedo y se contradice todo el tiempo. Pero de una cosa está segura, dejar esa casa será su condena, y no dejarla también lo será.

In this story, we meet two women, Millie and Nina. The first is a young woman who spent 10 years in prison and is now looking to reintegrate into society, for which she needs a job. That's where Nina comes in, a woman who is married to a millionaire and needs an employee to help her with the housework. It's the job Millie wanted so badly, with room and board, even though the house is large and she has been assigned a tiny room in the attic. But the pay is good and it keeps her on track, ready to get her life back on track. Until she realizes that Nina's mental health is not the best, she has frightening fits of rage and contradicts herself all the time. But one thing she is sure of is that leaving that house will be her downfall, and not leaving it will be too.

Este thriller es de esos bien cinematográficos que vale la pena la experiencia de ir a disfrutarlo en pantalla grande. La trama es muy atrapante, y te va llevando por un lado, haciéndote cómplice de lo que sucede sin darte cuenta que hay más en juego de lo que parece. Me encanta eso de los thrillers, que tengan la capacidad de sorprenderme. Este en particular tiene unos tremendos giros de trama.

This thriller is one of those cinematic gems that is worth the experience of going to enjoy it on the big screen. The plot is very captivating, and it takes you along for the ride, making you an accomplice to what is happening without realizing that there is more at stake than meets the eye. I love that about thrillers, that they have the ability to surprise me. This one in particular has some tremendous plot twists.

Millie y Nina son dos personajes bastante interesantes, con cartas que guardan bajo la manga y uno no se las ve venir hasta más entrado el final. Les juro que daba para aplaudirlas a las dos. Pero, ellas no son las únicas protagonistas, sino que en la trama también es muy importante Andrew, el esposo de Nina. Ese hombre que parece tan bueno y comprensivo, que ama tanto a su mujer a pesar de la locura, él también es un personaje a tener en cuenta. Solo eso diré, pero habrá señales.

Millie and Nina are two very interesting characters, with cards up their sleeves that you don't see coming until late in the game. I swear, you want to applaud them both. But they aren't the only protagonists; Andrew, Nina's husband, also plays a very important role in the plot. This man who seems so kind and understanding, who loves his wife so much despite her madness, is also a character to be reckoned with. That's all I'll say, but there will be clues.

Me gustó que la película cuenta con los dos puntos de vista de la historia, por un lado la de Millie, y hacia la mitad más o menos, vemos el punto de vista de Nina y el porqué de su comportamiento hasta el momento. Es bastante impactante el asunto, pero se entienden los dos puntos de vista y uno queda en shock cada vez. Me gustó mucho la parte final, tuvo más acción de lo esperado y eso estuvo bien para una película del estilo, creo que se merecía terminar de esa manera. Aunque el final fue bastante conveniente para las protagonistas. Hay algunas escenas de esas que daban impresión de verdad, no me esperaba que fueran tan impresionables en cierto sentido. Fue toda una sorpresa esta película.

I liked that the film presents both sides of the story: Millie's perspective, and then about halfway through, we see Nina's point of view and the reasons behind her behavior up to that point. It's quite shocking, but you understand both sides and are left in shock each time. I really liked the ending; it had more action than I expected, which was good for a film of this style. I think it deserved to end that way. Although the ending was quite convenient for the protagonists. There are some scenes that really made an impression on me; I didn't expect them to be so moving in a certain sense. This film was a real surprise.

Es un thriller de esos imperdibles, que te atrapan y te mantienen en vilo, además de jugar con tu mente mostrándote algo que no es. Es una película con una doble cara que les puede llegar a sorprender o a lo mejor lo intuyen desde un principio. De cualquier modo, lo recomiendo un montón. Quedé encantada con todo lo que vi, las actuaciones estuvieron estupendas, Amanda Seyfried se lució en su papel de Nina, y el film tiene una banda sonora y una historia imperdible.

It's one of those unmissable thrillers that grabs you and keeps you on the edge of your seat, as well as playing with your mind by showing you something that isn't real. It's a film with two sides to it that may surprise you, or perhaps you'll see it coming from the start. Either way, I highly recommend it. I was delighted with everything I saw, the performances were great, Amanda Sheffield shone in her role as Nina, and the film has an unmissable soundtrack and story.
