🎬 Serie Review: Bridgerton season 4 [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos! Hoy me paso por acá para traerles mi opinión acerca de la temporada 4 de Los Bridgerton. Una serie que siempre es más que esperada por mi parte.

Hello, friends! Today I'm stopping by to share my thoughts on season 4 of Bridgerton. It's a series that I always look forward to watching.

Trama - Plot

En esta temporada seguimos a Benedict Bridgerton, el segundo hijo varón y el más libertino, al que le va a tocar sentar cabeza. En un baile de máscaras que organiza su madre conoce a una joven vestida de plateado que logra cautivarlo, pero ella se escapa a medianoche y él no logra dar con su paradero haciendo de su misión encontrarla. En su búsqueda, va a conocer a una sirvienta que lo desafía y le despierta los mismos sentimientos, es ahí donde el Bridgerton más difícil de atrapar se debate entre seguir a su corazón y desafiar a la sociedad que lo condenara por su elección o dejar ir a la mujer que ama.

This season, we follow Benedict Bridgerton, the second son and the most libertine, who is about to settle down. At a masquerade ball organized by his mother, he meets a young woman dressed in silver who captivates him, but she escapes at midnight and he is unable to find her, making it his mission to find her. In his search, he meets a maid who challenges him and awakens the same feelings in him. It is then that the most elusive Bridgerton is torn between following his heart and defying the society that would condemn him for his choice, or letting go of the woman he loves.

Una cuarta temporada más que esperada por mi parte, siempre es una alegría tener nuevos capítulos de esta serie de época que logró cautivarme desde sus inicios. Ahora le tocó el turno a Benedict, pero la historia no se centra solo en él y su romance, sino que tiene muchas más capas. Está vez sentí que fue una temporada en la que pasaron situaciones más serias, todo se veía realmente complicado y hasta en algunos momentos se me escaparon las lágrimas.

I've been eagerly awaiting this fourth season, and it's always a joy to see new episodes of this period drama that has captivated me since the beginning. Now it's Benedict's turn, but the story doesn't just focus on him and his romance; it has many more layers. This time, I felt that it was a season with more serious situations. Everything seemed really complicated, and at times I even shed a few tears.

Me gustó que esta temporada haya sido muy al estilo de Cenicienta, amé el personaje de Sophie Baek por completo, se me hizo muy valiente y aguerrida. Aunque también me hizo frustrar en algunas ocasiones. Fue una montaña rusa de emociones, desde risas hasta enojos y llantos. De verdad siento que lo tuvo todo, hasta un tono más serio. Incluso pasaron escenas bastantes fuertes para la época, mi dulce Francesca no la tuvo fácil, me apeno mucho lo que tuvo que pasar.

I liked that this season was very Cinderella-esque. I absolutely loved Sophie Baek's character; I thought she was very brave and feisty. Although she also frustrated me at times. It was a roller coaster of emotions, from laughter to anger and tears. I really feel like it had everything, even a more serious tone. There were even some scenes that were quite intense for the time. My sweet Francesca didn't have it easy, and I feel very sorry for what she had to go through.

Por otra parte, me sentí super representada por el personaje de Eloise, sé que puede ser frustrante a veces, pero sentí que en estos capítulos creció bastante, no solo fue la hermana amargada, sino que fue un pilar importante para su familia y si bien cometió algunas metidas de pata, lo supo arreglar a tiempo, y al final creo que entendió cómo funciona esto del amor. Creo que ya está lista para intentarlo, de verdad espero que la próxima temporada sea la de ella porque considero que Fran debe curar su corazón antes de abrirse nuevamente.

On the other hand, I felt very represented by the character of Eloise. I know she can be frustrating at times, but I felt that she grew a lot in these episodes. She wasn't just the bitter sister, but an important pillar for her family, and although she made some mistakes, she knew how to fix them in time, and in the end, I think she understood how love works. I think she's ready to give it a try. I really hope next season is her season because I think Fran needs to heal her heart before opening up again.

Disfruté mucho de la temporada y conocer más acerca de la vida de los sirvientes y todo a lo que se tienen que enfrentar. Fue entretenida toda esa disputa y con esto quedó demostrado que muchos señores y señoras de familias nobles no sabrían qué hacer sin sus empleados. Así que ellos son la verdadera fuerza motora de sus vidas.

I really enjoyed the season and learning more about the lives of servants and everything they have to deal with. All that drama was entertaining, and it showed that many lords and ladies from noble families would not know what to do without their employees. So they are the real driving force behind their lives.

También me gustó ver cómo se profundizaron los vínculos, tanto entre los hermanos como los de amistades. De nuevo vimos aflorar los sentimientos de la reina que se muestra fría, pero que sabemos que igual tiene emociones contenidas. Bueno, hay muchas cosas que destacar realmente, pero no les quiero quitar la emoción de verla si no lo hicieron. Lo que más me intrigó es el capítulo final donde aparece otra Lady Whistledown a apropiarse de la columna de chismes en lugar de Penélope que decidió retirarse. Eso abre el misterio para la próxima temporada.

I also liked seeing how the bonds between siblings and friends deepened. Once again, we saw the feelings of the queen, who appears cold but whom we know has pent-up emotions, come to the surface. Well, there are many things to highlight, but I don't want to spoil the excitement of watching it if you haven't seen it yet. What intrigued me the most is the final episode, where another Lady Whistledown appears to take over the gossip column from Penelope, who has decided to retire. That sets the stage for the mystery of the next season.

Y, por supuesto, no puedo dejar de destacar las puestas en escena, los vestuarios, la fotografía, la música y esa magia de los bailes y acontecimientos de época que tanto nos gustan a algunos. Sin dudas, seguiré mirando todas las temporadas que me den de esta serie.

And, of course, I can't fail to mention the staging, the costumes, the photography, the music, and the magic of the dances and period events that some of us love so much. Without a doubt, I will continue to watch every season of this series that they give me.
