The latest Star Wars productions sometimes seemed like more ideas of things they knew we might like, brought into their universe, like Star Wars Goonies in Skeleton Crew.

Being simplistic, this Rogue One series could have been the spy movie of a saga, but it has managed to take its time and, in the end, managed to entangle us with a story and characters I cared about. Even the villain arcs look great to me, as they show the full rawness of the Empire.

In short, for me the success has been that they have managed to keep the story and create something that, without effects, spectacular choreography and lightsabers, knows how to connect and feels more Star Wars than ever.

Oh yeah! I completely forgot to mention Dedra! She is one of the best Star Wars villains of all time. I would love to see her in a spinoff as well.

! [Hidden Spoiler Text] > Dedrea Meero, you know, it's funny, my brother and I have a crazy theory, besides impossible: that the rebels release her and she becomes their informant to, later, reveal that her fall from grace was a plan of the Empire to have a mole inside the Rebel Alliance.

! [Hidden Spoiler Text] > It's that kind of good stuff, when a story doesn't vomit information at you, but instead gives you points that you decide how to connect as a viewer.

! [Hidden Spoiler Text] > Even if the character of this bureaucratic, power-hungry, dysfunctional bureaucrat doesn't jive with our theory, we just want an excuse to buy her a get-out-of-jail-free card because, in the end, we're fond of her.
