The long awaited movie. Finally, I got to see Argylle and it was not what I was expecting but it was surprisingly fun for me. When I first saw the trailer last year, I was super excited to see the movie because Henry Cavill (my celebrity crush) starred in it. Though to my disappointment, Henry wasn't really the star of the film, he was just in the shadows playing a fictional character which I wasn't happy with.

This movie got really criticized by viewers who were expecting so much from this movie. They were disappointed, and angry. In my own opinion, I think people don't want to have fun anymore because I don't see any reason why this movie was rated negatively by viewers. Majorly, the viewers complained about how silly the movie is. People! Live a little, have fun, smile a little, laugh a little and forget your worries. Life is too short to be serious all the time.

’Argylle (2024)’ is a spy action comedy film that was distributed by Apple TV+ and universal pictures. It was produced and directed by Matthew Vaughan. It was written by Jason Fuchs. The storyline revolves around a female fictional author who was drawn into the chaotic world of espionage and spies after realizing that the book she wrote on espionage mirrored real world events. How is this possible? Can she tell the future? Or does have the gift to see the future?

This movie starred Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O'Hara, Henry Cavill, Sofia Boutella, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson.

To avoid spoilers, I won't be talking about the plot. I want to be as vague as possible because I believe some people are yet to see this movie. So I won't spoil your experience for you.

My Review And Rating.

At first, I thought this movie will be a serious spy, espionage film and I expect that Henry would give us the energy he gave us in the movie ’The Man From U.N.C.L.E (2015)’. Honestly, that was what I was highly expecting, but that was not the case. Instead, we got a sassy and fun Henry Cavill as an imaginative fictional character not even a real character in the movie. Regardless, I was not disappointed with this movie and I was actually unexpectedly surprised.

’Argylle’ is a funny, thrilling and entertaining spy action comedy film that can be watched if you want to relax, and also spend time with family or loved ones. It's family friendly. No gore, nudity and not much profanity. I had lots of laughs with this one and at the end it left me with an unforgettable happy experience. I was happy when I finished watching the movie.

The Cast were an exceptional selection, I will give them that but I think Henry Cavill was used as a marketing strategy which the viewers didn't appreciate. All the actors performed well, I enjoyed every character with its respective mannerism and personality. The entire cast were witty and sassy. They were fun to watch and easy to connect with. No character in the movie was forgettable. They all left a good mark behind. Except for John Cena who I forgot actually acted in this movie at the end.

I don't have a favorite character in this movie because they all impressed me. However, I wished that Henry Cavill had switched roles with Sam Rockwell. Maybe it would have added more intense spice to this movie. Also, less I forget, Howard very much surprised me with her performance in this movie. She proved again that she can give more layered roles. Again, Catherine O'Hara made me laugh so much with her impulsive behavior.

The plot was well written. I liked it. I enjoyed all the comedy in this film, regardless of how some of the humor came out cheeky. I love how the fun part of this film was mixed with the politics and agendas of the world. It had a good world building, I will give them that. The fictional and real events were seamlessly blended together. The scene arrangements were excellent and fast paced.

The CGI of this movie was not that impressive. Some CGI scenes were stretched out so that graphics stood out which did look good. There were too many plot twist in the movie some were appreciated while the others seemed forced. The music was excellent! I love all the soundtracks that were selected for this movie. It was a journey down to the 90s oldies which was very befitting to the plot of the movie.

A lot of the audience complain about how Vaughan the director disappointed them and that his is a shadow of himself now. I don't think so. Yes, he directed the Kingsman franchise but still Vaughan energy was felt in this movie which makes me excited for the upcoming sequel that was hint in the closing credit of this movie. A take back to the time of the Kingsman early years. I can't wait.

Rating this movie, I will give it 8 out of 10 stars. It was a good and fun movie, not a masterpiece but an entertaining one. In my own opinion, I think the producers accomplished a lot and made the 2 hour and 17 minute run time feel thrilling.

A well-written review! I'm glad you enjoyed this film as much as I did. Indeed 'sassy and fun Henry Cavill' was weird for me to see but not bad acting. I wonder why he accepted to play that role. All in all, it's a cool movie.

Henry's role was strange to me too. I guess we are used to seeing him serious in movies. Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate your comment and support here. 😊.!PIZZA
