Reality. When I first saw the trailer of this movie, I thought it was going to be an interesting movie but I was wrong. Watching this movie made me realize how time is very important to us humans. When it's gone, you can't get it back, you just have to keep moving and make good decisions with the rest of the time ahead of you. I WASTED my time watching this movie as I was tortured through it all.

There are some movies in Hollywood that are not meant to be produced or to even be on motion pictures. It is better to leave them and let whomever is interested in the story find it and digest themselves. Let's not talk of the lies that is on the poster which says, "A fascinating directorial debut for Tina Satter". Some stories or truth are not meant to be told, but they are meant to be kept and let those who are interested in it find it, so they can treasure it.

Reality (2023) is an American drama that is based on the true life event which occurred in 2017 during president Donald trump era. This movie was directed by Tina Satter and it was distributed by HBO films. It starred Sydney Sweeney as Reality Leigh Winner, with Marchánt Davis and Josh Hamilton with other supporting characters.

So like I said earlier, this movie is based on a true life event which occurred in 2017. This movie is adapted from the original FBI interrogation transcript with Reality Leigh Winner. Reality is an American Airforce officer who is also a NSA Translator. She was sentenced to five years and three months for releasing sensitive information about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections to the media. I don't know many details about this or when it happened because I don't read anything related to politics.

The opening scene of the movie places Reality when she returns home from a grocery store. She was confronted by two FBI agents, Taylor and Garrick who told her that they have a warrant to search her home and properties. She entertained them respectfully and with patience. Later other FBI agents came and joined the search while Taylor kept on engaging with Reality casually. While the search was going on, Taylor and Garrick already made sure that their recording device was on.

Taylor continued to casually engage reality as the search went on. Then, the agents admit that they were actually interrogating her about the recent leak of confidential and sensitive government documents to a media website. Reality denies knowing anything about the leaked information but after an hour she finally admits that she printed and leaked a document from the National Security Agency's database to the media website. From there other events followed.

My Review And Rating.

The script of this movie is basically from a transcript. There is nothing special to this movie. I am still wondering why this movie has good reviews online. I don't get what the reviewers saw or did I miss something? The pacing of this movie is very slow and terrible. I wish I knew that the movie was terrible, I wouldn't have watched it. It was a waste of my time and it was boring. This is the first time that a movie annoyed and irritated me so much.

The cast's performance was bad, especially the FBI agents and the lead character. I felt like they were all hanging on threads that would soon snap just to portray their role. I felt like they were not breathing while they performed their roles. If you hate the FBI and you watch this movie, I can promise you that your hate for them will highly increase. This movie succeeded in doing that. The main character was dumb, forgot all her rights as a citizen, she didn't ask for a lawyer and because of that a harsh punishment was given to her.

The only positive thing about this movie is that it exposed Trump and Russia. It brought the incident to light. Yes many people are not aware of this incident but in my opinion, it shouldn't have been acted as a movie. It should have been left alone, people will still come to know about it and a lot of viewers won't be tortured like me. Is the movie a political move since Trump is contesting for the presidential seat soon?

The movie was portrayed well exactly according to the FBI interrogation transcript. There was nothing that was changed or rewritten. It has a duration of 1hr 30mins and honestly I am grateful for one thing, I had a fantastic deep sleep while watching this movie. When I woke up 3hrs later, I was lost.

If you want to know more about this incident, go to Wikipedia and get busy.

Rating this movie, I will give it 1.5 out 5 stars. I wouldn't recommend this movie for anyone to watch. Unless you like political stuff, love documentaries, then by all means quickly go for it, but if you want to sleep, I can recommend it to you. Watch and get to enjoy a peaceful sleep. Also to avoid wasting time on watching this movie, just go to Wikipedia and read which will only take just 10-15 mins of your time.
