Movie review: La Ira de Dios / The Wrath of God (ENG/ESP)
Hello movie loving community! Today I wanted to recommend you a movie that I thought was great. It is a gripping psychological thriller, which raises a very peculiar idea of justice. I leave you first a synopsis:

Synopsis/Sinopsis
The Wrath of God is a 2022 Argentine psychological thriller film directed by Sebastian Schindel and based on the book “The Slow Death of Luciana B.” by Guillermo Martinez. The film follows the history of the young assistant of a famous novel writer, who believes that he is to blame for all the deaths of his family members. It stars Diego Peretti, Juan Minujín and Macarena Achaga.
La ira de Dios es una película de thriller psicológico argentina de 2022, dirigida por Sebastián Schindel y basada en el libro “La muerte lenta de Luciana B.” de Guillermo Martínez. La película sigue la historia de la joven asistente de un famoso escritor de novelas, que cree que este es el culpable de todas las muertes de sus familiares. Está protagonizada por Diego Peretti, Juan Minujín y Macarena Achaga.
My opinion/Mi opinión
From the beginning this film grabs you like no other and leads you to reflect on the darkness of human nature and feelings, which are mixed with an idea of justice that is very similar to revenge. It is quite interesting and from the very beginning this writer's vision of justice is brought up.
Desde el principio esta película te atrapa como ninguna y te lleva a reflexionar sobre la oscuridad de la naturaleza humana y los sentimientos, que se mezclan con una idea de justicia que se asemeja mucho a la venganza. Es bastante interesante y desde el inicio se plantea esta visión de la justicia que tiene el escritor.
The drama begins with what can be interpreted as confusion on the part of the writer, who believes that his young assistant is making a pass at him, so he kisses her. This completely shatters their working relationship and the consequences for both of them are literally catastrophic.
El drama comienza con lo que se puede interpretar como una confusión por parte del escritor, que cree que su joven asistente se le está insinuando, entonces le da un beso. Esto rompe por completo su relación de trabajo y las consecuencias que trae para ambos son literalmente catastróficas.
The young woman contacts a lawyer and sends the writer a letter document, from the moment that document is received the deaths are triggered. Then, the protagonist begins to lose each member of her family in strange and inexplicable situations over the years. This leads her to become convinced that Kloster (the writer) is responsible, even though she has no evidence against him. She is not believed by the police and not even by her family, who try to have her committed to a mental institution when her obsession with her former employer worsens. From this, the young woman seeks out journalist Esteban Rey to help her prove that her theory about Kloster is true.
La joven contacta con una abogada y le manda al escritor una carta documento, desde el momento que se recibe ese documento las muertes se desencadenan. Entonces, la protagonista comienza perder a cada miembro de su familia en situaciones extrañas e inexplicables, a lo largo de los años. Lo cual la lleva a convencerse de que Kloster (el escritor) es el responsable, a pesar de no tener ninguna prueba contra él. No le cree la policía y ni siquiera su familia, que intentan internarla en un psiquiátrico cuando su obsesión con su antiguo empleador empeora. A partir de esto, la joven busca al periodista Esteban Rey para que la ayude a demostrar que su teoría sobre Kloster es verdadera.

No cuento más para no hacer demasiados spoilers, pero si te gustan las películas de suspenso esta te va a encantar.
