La niñera, con su protagonista Fran, que es uno de esos personajes memorables que quedan para siempre en la memoria colectiva de todos, me encantó y llenó mis días de risas. Fran, sarcástica, deshinibida y risueña, nos muestra con humor el choque de clases y la ambición estadounidense de los 90. “La Niñera” se emitió desde el 3 de noviembre de 1993 hasta el 23 de junio de 1999, durante seis temporadas, y es interpretada por Fran Drescher. El personaje fue creado por ella misma y, junto a su esposo de entonces Peter Marc Jacobson, fueron los productores. La serie fue un éxito.

Sinopsis/Synopsis
Fran Fine es una simpática residente de Queens de origen judío, cuyo novio la deja y la despide (era su jefe) para contratar a otra. Entonces ella comienza a vender cosméticos puerta a puerta. Un día llega a la puerta del millonario productor de teatro viudo, Maxwell Sheffield en Nueva York y, por accidente, se convierte en la niñera de sus tres hijos al intentar vender su mercancía.
Fran Fine is a friendly Queens resident of Jewish origin whose boyfriend dumps her and fires her (he was her boss) to hire someone else. She then starts selling cosmetics door to door. One day, she arrives at the door of widowed millionaire theater producer Maxwell Sheffield in New York and, by accident, becomes the nanny of his three children while trying to sell her merchandise.
Mi Opinión/My Opinion
Antes que nada quería advertir al lector que aquí va a ser testigo de spoilers. Me encanta el personaje por su carácter extrovertido, su crianza poco convencional y su gran sentido del humor, que es todo en la serie y no deja que el televidente cambie de canal. Esta era mi serie preferida cuando era chica (junto con Sabrina, la bruja adolescente) y la volví a ver cada vez que pude, todas las veces me quedaba enganchada con ella y su humor. Además de su protagonista, me gustan otros dos personajes que me parecen geniales, el mayordomo, Niles, y la socia del dueño de casa (que quiere cazarlo para casarse con él) C.C. Babcock. El humor sarcástico y atrevido de ambos le pone la guinda al pastel de la historia. Y me parece sumamete gracioso y asombroso que al final acabaran enamorados (¡hasta teniendo un hijo!).
First of all, I wanted to warn readers that there will be spoilers here. I love the character for her outgoing personality, her unconventional upbringing, and her great sense of humor, which is everything in the series and keeps viewers from changing the channel. This was my favorite series when I was a girl (along with Sabrina, the Teenage Witch), and I rewatched it every chance I got, always getting hooked on it and its humor. In addition to the main character, I like two other characters who I think are great: the butler, Niles, and the homeowner's business partner (who wants to trap him into marrying her), C.C. Babcock. The sarcastic and daring humor of both of them is the icing on the cake of the history. And I find it extremely funny and amazing that in the end they ended up in love (even having a child!).
Amé el final de la serie, Fran tan preocupada por su edad y su soltería (y su madre que siempre se lo recuerda), acaba dándose cuenta de que el amor estaba más cerca de ella de lo que pensaba. ¡Bajo su mismo techo! Finalmente se casa con Maxwell y amplían su familia, como debería ser. Fran le da calidez a esa familia y termina uniéndola y eso es lo más valioso de todo. Si no has visto aún esta serie te la recomiendo, no vas a parar de reír, a pesar de los años que pasaron.
I loved the ending of the series. Fran, so concerned about her age and her single status (and her mother who always reminds her of it), ends up realizing that love was closer to her than she thought. Under her own roof! She finally marries Maxwell and they expand their family, as it should be. Fran brings warmth to that family and ends up uniting it, and that is the most valuable thing of all. If you haven't seen this series yet, I recommend it. You won't stop laughing, despite the years that have passed.
