Serie-Review: Glitch (ENG/ESP)
This mystery series was one of the first I watched when I was able to put on Netflix and I assure you that I have not forgotten it, like so many others, because it has an originality that surprises. It deals with a tough subject: death. The beings that leave and also the ones that stay and how that death marks them. What would happen if that loved one came back to life after a few years and showed up at your door?

“Glitch” is an Australian series. It has three seasons that premiered in 2015, 2017, 2019. It follows the history of James Hayes, a small town police officer, who is called to the local cemetery one night because seven deceased people, Kate Willis, Carlo Nico, Paddy Fitzgerald, Charlie Thompson, Maria Massola, John Doe and Kirstie Darrow, surprisingly appear alive and in perfect condition as if by magic. The people have no memory or recollection of their true identity, but they are determined to discover who they are and what happened to them.

Sigue la historia de James Hayes, un oficial de policía de un pequeño pueblo, que es llamado para acudir al cementerio local una noche debido a que siete personas fallecidas, Kate Willis, Carlo Nico, Paddy Fitzgerald, Charlie Thompson, Maria Massola, John Doe y Kirstie Darrow, aparecen sorpresivamente vivas y en perfectas condiciones como por arte de magia. Las personas no tienen memoria ni recuerdan su verdadera identidad, pero están determinadas a descubrir quiénes son y qué les sucedió.
My Opinion/Mi opinión
The history could remind you of a classic zombie series, but it has nothing to do with it, since the “zombies” are ordinary people who, for some mysterious reason, come back to life. The series follows the history of each of them as they gradually remember who they were and why they died, and even search for living family members. We see how death has affected them and, in some cases, the culprits of their death. The point of view is very interesting and it is very catching from the beginning, I can even say that it is one of the most addictive series I have seen, because the truth is not revealed until the last season. It has an ending, so if you decide to watch it, you won't be left wanting to know what happened and have to wait for years until the producers think of finishing it.
La historia podría recordarte a una clásica de zombies, pero no tiene nada que ver, ya que los “zombies” son personas comunes y corrientes que, por algún misterioso motivo, vuelven a la vida. La serie recorre la historia de cada uno de ellos que van recordando de a poco quiénes fueron y por qué murieron, incluso buscan a familiares vivos. Vemos cómo la muerte ha afectado a estos y, en algunos casos, a los culpables de su muerte. Es muy interesante el punto de vista y resulta muy atrapante desde el inicio, incluso puedo decir que es una de las series más adictivas que he visto, porque la verdad no se revela hasta la última temporada. Tiene final, así que si deciden verla no se van a quedar con las ganas de saber qué pasó y someterse a años de espera hasta que a los productores se les ocurra terminarla.
It starts with James, a cop, going to see what is going on in the local cemetery when people start showing up naked and full of dirt who don't remember anything. There he meets Dr. Elishia McKeller, who helps them. They try to figure out who they are until James recognizes his wife who died of cancer a few years ago and, from there, the history begins. For James it's a hurricane of emotions, as he is married to another woman (his wife's best friend no less) and is expecting a child. Drama, drama, drama.
Empieza con James, un policía, que va a ver qué ocurre en el cementerio local cuando comienzan a aparecer personas desnudas y llenas de tierra que no recuerdan nada. Allí se encuentra con la doctora Elishia McKeller, que los ayuda. Intentan averiguar quiénes son hasta que James reconoce a su esposa muerta por cáncer hace unos años y, desde allí, empieza la historia. Para James es un huracán de emociones, ya que está casado con otra mujer (nada menos que la mejor amiga de su esposa) y está esperando un hijo. Drama, drama, drama.
The mystery revolves around the search for the identity and connection these people have with each other, as this will give them a clue as to why they came back to life. It all proves difficult because they have no ties to each other and even died at different times. It is a very well presented mystery and the suspense increases with each season, as it presents several unexpected twists, such as the origin of Dr. McKeller and her activities; and a catastrophic decenlase that puts the world at risk.
El misterio gira en torno a la búsqueda de la identidad y la conexión que tienen estas personas entre ellas, ya que esto les dará una pista de por qué volvieron a la vida. Todo resulta difícil porque no tienen lazos entre sí e incluso murieron en épocas diferentes. Es un misterio muy bien presentado y el suspenso aumenta con cada temporada, ya que presenta varios giros inesperados, como el origen de la doctora McKeller y sus actividades; y un desenlace catastrófico que pone en riego al mundo.

Never heard of this one before. Watching the trailer right now. It kind of looks interesting but with so much competition and limited time I doubt that I'll watch it myself. Nice to know you really enjoyed it though.
It's a shame, because this series is very good and worth watching. :)
