Plot
There has been an ISIS attack on a police unit, and the SWAT team rescues them. This is where we meet young police officer Kawa (Adam Bessa), who catches two traffickers.
Major Jasem (Suhail Dabbach) asks Kawa why he has them detained, and he responds that ISIS is deploying and that the police have returned to their usual tasks. However, the team kills the detainees and checks that they are not on the list of ISIS members.

Al principio, pensé que el nuevo policía estaba infiltrado, pero a medida que avanza la película, comprendemos que no es así. Es solo un joven inexperto que tiene que vivir esta experiencia con un equipo experimentado , debe adaptarse y sobrevivir.
Uno de los puntos fuertes es que nos sumerge en la ciudad; recorremos las calles destruidas, llenas de escombros, basura y caos total. Las escenas de acción están bien logradas, y me recordaron a los videojuegos de PlayStation.
Me gustó el maquillaje realista; no verás a un soldado con un uniforme limpio y peinado, no tendría sentido en ese contexto de guerra.
Ver a un equipo librando una batalla contra ISIS que no sea estadounidense es un punto bastante llamativo.

My opinion
At first, I thought the new police officer was infiltrated, but as the movie progresses, we understand that is not the case. He is just an inexperienced young man who has to live this experience with an experienced team, he must adapt and survive.
One of the strengths is that it immerses us in the city; we walk through the destroyed streets, full of rubble, garbage, and total chaos. The action scenes are well done, and they reminded me of PlayStation video games.
I liked the realistic makeup; you won't see a soldier with a clean and groomed uniform, and it wouldn't make sense in that war context.
Seeing a team fighting against ISIS that is not American is quite striking.
It is a story based on real events, where a journalist named Luke Mogelson accompanied the SWAT team from Nineveh in their fight against ISIS and wrote an article called "The Desperate Battle to Destroy ISIS." Director Matthew Michael Carnahan took that material as the basis for this film.

Es un homenaje al equipo SWAT iraqui , pero en mi opinión, la historia podría haberse desarrollado más.
Me quedé hasta el final porque la cinematografía es impresionante, viendo esa ciudad en ruinas y pensando en las miles de historias de sus habitantes, pero estaba como el joven Kawa, desconcertada, sin saber qué decir, esperando que me dijeran cuál era la misión.
Mi puntuación sería 6/10.
La recomiendo si te gusta el género bélico y quieres conocer la historia del el equipo SWAT de Nínive y su misión final.
The movie starts and develops with a somber and pessimistic tone, only its ending is touching.
The fights take place hand to hand in the alleys, there are no heroes, they are ordinary men with flaws and virtues, united as a team to remove ISIS from their city.
It's a tribute to the Iraqi SWAT team , but in my opinion, the story could have been developed more.
I stayed until the end because the cinematography is stunning, watching that ruined city and thinking about the thousands of stories of its inhabitants, but I was like the young Kawa, puzzled, not knowing what to say, waiting to be told what the mission was.
My rating would be 6/10.
I recommend it if you like the war genre and want to know the story of the Nineveh SWAT team and their final mission.
