HOSTILE | Movie Review 🎥

A post-apocalyptic world or a world where zombies have wiped out humanity in general, has become something we see recurrently in movies or television and popular movies such as Resident Evil, World War Z, I am Legend, The Walking Dead, among many others. They present a reality of what would happen if humanity is devastated by a virus that turns everyone into zombies or totally irrational people full of violence.

Un mundo post apocalíptico o un mundo donde los zombies han acabado con la humanidad en general, se ha vuelto algo que vemos recurrentemente en el cine o la televisión y es que películas tan populares como resident evil Guerra mundial z, Soy leyenda, The walking dead, entre muchas otras. Me presentan una realidad de lo que pasaría si la humanidad se ve arrasada por un virus que convierte a todos en zombies o en personas totalmente irracionales llenas de violencia.

And although each franchise expresses in a different way the origin of the virus and how it affects humanity. In my opinion, those franchises or production companies that do it in a unique and original way are the ones that get the biggest prize, since they are the productions that you like the most and that you remember the most through the years. One of these productions that changed the way of making movies about zombies or post apocalyptic worlds is I Am Legend and World War Z, since they went from simply being a production of people who died and resurrected in search of brains to give it a true sense of pandemic with truly scientific origins or scientific character that trapped you even more.

And recently I was able to see a film production that also addresses this apocalyptic world with zombies but in a different way than usual, as the creatures that appear in this film are quite significant and very similar to that of I Am Legend. The movie is called after the apocalypse and it is an excellent choice to watch because it has action drama romance and a great story behind it. And of course it also has an amazing twist in the plot when the movie is ending.

Y aunque cada franquicia lo expresa de una manera distinta el origen del virus y cómo afecta la humanidad. A mi criterio aquellas franquicias o productoras que lo hacen de una manera única y original son las que se llevan el premio mayor, ya que son las producciones que más te gustan y que más recuerdas a través de los años. Una de estas producciones que cambió la manera de hacer películas sobre zombies o mundos post apocalípticos pues Soy leyenda y Guerra mundial z, ya que pasaron de simplemente ser una producción de persona que morían y resucitaban en buscaban cerebros a darle un verdadero sentido de pandemia con orígenes verdaderamente científicos o de carácter científico que te atrapaba aún más.

Y recientemente pude ver una producción cinematográfica que también aborda esto del mundo apocalíptico con zombies pero de una manera distinta lo habitual, ya que las criaturas que salen en esta película son bastante significativas y muy parecidas a la de Soy leyenda. La película se llama después del apocalipsis y es una excelente opción para ver ya que tiene acción drama romance y una magnífica historia detrás Y claro también tiene un giro en la trama sumamente asombroso cuando está terminando la película.

But what is it about, we will try to explain it briefly without giving any spoilers. The movie after the apocalypse, introduces us to a world where a virus has wiped out humanity, Julieth, a survivor, searches for resources for her community in a totally desolate and deserted land. And although she does not have much success looking for supplies, the situation turns against her when she has a traffic accident where she gets hurt and has to be very attentive to the creatures, which at night come out to hunt and are more violent. So Julieth has to try to survive through the night while help arrives to rescue her.

Pero de qué se trata vamos a tratar de explicarlo brevemente sin dar ningún spoiler. La película después del apocalipsis, nos introduce en un mundo donde un virus ha arrasado en su totalidad con la humanidad, Julieth una sobreviviente busca recursos para su comunidad en una tierra totalmente desolada y desierta. Y aunque no tiene mucho éxito buscando provisiones, la situación se volque en su contra cuando tiene un accidente de tránsito donde se lastima y tiene que estar muy atenta a las criaturas, que en la noche salen a cazar y son más violentas. Así que Julieth tiene que tratar de sobrevivir toda la noche mientras llega la ayuda a rescatarla.

This movie is quite amazing because you can see the survival instinct that every human being has in different situations, for example we can see that Juliette had an accident due to a distraction and although she broke her leg because the bone comes out, she manages to survive in any way to try to avoid being eaten by a creature that in this universe is called the grim reapers. It reminded me a lot of the movie about the soldier who is left stepping on a grenade and who also has to survive the desert conditions.

Another interesting aspect of this movie is the romance side of it, you might think how a post apocalyptic movie with zombies can present a romantic side, well we are not talking about my boyfriend is a zombie or pride prejudice and zombies, but rather the story of Julieth's life so you can relate and understand the why of things. And it is quite interesting the story that Julieth makes in the flashbacks she has when she is trapped and hurt in the desert at night.

Since we can see certain aspects of how the pandemic that attacked first started and in what way it did with the population, since in the flashbacks we can see that it was not a simple global pandemic or an alien virus as explained in The Walking Dead but it was something much more deadly and sinister. And as a final point I can add that the end of this movie was an excellent and wonderful plot twist. Since at the end of the movie you get to understand many things that you are going to see while the movie is going on and also you can be amazed with the end of this story.

Esta película es bastante asombrosa ya que se puede ver el instinto de supervivencia que tiene cada ser humano ante las distintas situaciones por ejemplo podemos ver que Juliette tuvo un accidente producto de una distracción Y aunque se partió la pierna ya que se le sale el hueso, logra arreglárselas de cualquier forma para tratar de sobrevivir y evitar ser comida por una criatura que en esta universo le dicen las parcas. Me recordó mucho a la película del soldado que queda pisando una granada y que de igual manera también tiene que sobrevivir a las condiciones del desierto.

Otro aspecto bastante interesante de esta película y es algo también llamativo es el lado de romance que presenta, ya que pudieras pensar como una película post apocalíptica con zombies puede presentar un lado romántico bueno no estamos hablando de mi novio es un zombie o orgullo prejuicio y zombies, sino más bien de la historia de la vida de Julieth para que te puedas relacionar y puedas entender el porqué de las cosas. Y es que es bastante interesante la historia que hace julieth en los flashback que tiene cuando está atrapada y lastimada en el desierto en la noche.

Ya que podemos ver ciertos aspectos de cómo inició la pandemia que atacó primero y de qué manera lo hizo con la población, ya que en los flashbacks podemos ver que no fue una simple pandemia global o un virus alienígena como explicado en The walking dead sino que fue algo mucho más mortífero y siniestro. Y como punto final puedo agregar que al final de esta película fue un excelente y maravilloso plot twist. Ya que al final de la película logras entender muchas cosas que vas a ver mientras transcurre la misma y además te puedes quedar boquiabierto con el final de esta historia.

So in conclusion it is a quite enjoyable movie has scenes of action suspense psychological terror and above all a nice story that in the end can be marked in you. And although it is a movie that came out more than 5 years ago I really thought it was from last year since the effects are pretty cool and quality and it is a movie that I had not seen coming out either on Netflix or any other platform, in fact I never saw trailers of this production. But it is a movie worth watching.

Así que en conclusión es una película bastante disfrutable tiene escenas de acción suspenso terror psicológico y sobre todo una bonita historia que al final puede quedar marcada en ti. Y aunque es una película que salió hace más de 5 años atrás realmente yo pensaba que era del año pasado ya que los efectos son bastante geniales y de calidad y es una película que no había visto que saliera ni en Netflix ni en alguna otra plataforma, de hecho nunca vi trailers de esta producción. Pero es una película que vale la pena ver.
