Reptile - Nada es lo que parece | Movie reiew 🎞🎬🎥
Desde que tengo uso de razón, las películas de Benicio del toro siempre me han fascinado, dos que destacan son El Hombro lobo y sicario. Porque este señor si que sabe darle ese toque de suspenso y firmeza a un personaje, además del pequeño toque humorístico. Así que cuando vi que habían sacado esta nueva película donde aparece Benicio del toro, pues no me costó nada verla. Y si bien es cierto que fue una película humillantemente destrozada por la crítica, la verdad es que está bastante bien, ya que los giros inesperados de la trama hacen que la tensión y el suspenso suban.
For as long as I can remember, Benicio del toro's movies have always fascinated me, two that stand out are El Hombro lobo and sicario. Because this gentleman really knows how to give that touch of suspense and firmness to a character as well as the little humorous touch. So when I saw that they had released this new movie where Benicio del toro appears, well, it didn't cost me anything to see it. And while it is true that it was a movie that was humiliatingly trashed by critics, the truth is that it is pretty good, since the unexpected plot twists make the tension and suspense rise.
Pero, ¿de qué va Reptile? En resumen, alienígenas reptilianos que intentan infiltrarse en la sociedad y controlarla por completo, bah, es broma, el título lleno de suspense y el cartel te hacen pensar que sí. Pero la realidad es que el título explica que todos cambiamos de piel para sobrevivir, igual que hacen las serpientes u otros reptiles. Y si ves la película entenderás lo que quiero decir.
But what is Reptile about? In short, reptilian aliens trying to infiltrate society and control it completely, bah, just kidding, the suspenseful title and the poster make you think it is. But the reality is that the title explains that we all change our skin to survive, just like snakes or other reptiles do. And if you see the movie you will understand what I mean.
La película se centra en una pareja de agentes inmobiliarios, y tienen éxito en la zona, pero ese éxito se ve interrumpido por un fuerte escándalo de asesinato de uno de estos agentes, y digo escándalo porque la forma en que fue asesinada es brutal, tanto que el forense se sorprendió. Así que ahí entra en juego Benicio del toro, un super detective, Tom Nichols y su compañero Dan Cleary, ellos intentan investigar el caso, siguiendo pistas y viendo posibles sospechosos, pero todo se complica cuando ven que el caso se queda en nada y que hay un iceberg detrás, que daba los verdaderos motivos del asesinato. Así que sinceramente sí recomiendo la película. Por supuesto, también hay una pequeña historia secundaria en la película, en la que al detective tom, casi se lo carga el filete jajaja, pero aunque es corta le da algo de chispa a la historia.
The movie focuses on a couple of real estate agents, and they are successful in the area, but that success is interrupted by a strong scandal of murder of one of these agents, and I say scandal because the way she was killed is brutal, so much so that the forensic examiner was surprised. So there comes into play Benicio del toro, a super detective, Tom Nichols and his partner Dan Cleary, they try to investigate the case, following clues and seeing possible suspects, but everything gets complicated when they see that the case comes to nothing and that there is an iceberg behind, which gave the real motives for the murder. So honestly I do recommend the movie. Of course, there is also a little side story in the movie, where detective tom, almost gets blown by the steak hahaha, but even though it is short it does add some spark to the story.
¿Recomendaría Reptile? Si, pero tienes que saber que es una película a la que hay que prestarle atención y es una película larga, dura más de 130 minutos, así que si esperas algo lineal y que pase muy rápido, pues esto no es así, debes tomarte tu tiempo para analizarla bien y entender a todos los personajes y escenas, si lo haces descubrirás antes de lo esperado quien es el asesino. Otra cosa que destaca de la película es que es protagonizada por jsutin timberlake y Alicia Silverstone, que por si no lo recuerdan, fue la que hizo de Batgirl, en la película donde batman tiene pezones. Así que si les recomiendo esta increíble película, se van a sorprender mucho con el final, es bastante retorcido y hasta inesperado, realmente pudieron haberlo guardado muy bien, no es nada predecible.
Así que en conclusión, esto ha sido todo para esta película, me gustaría agregar más pero sería spoiler y arruinaría la película, es mejor que descubras por ti mismo todo el suspenso que esta increíble película tiene para ti. Would I recommend Reptile? Yes, but you have to know that it is a movie that you must pay attention and it is a long movie, it lasts more than 130 minutes, so if you expect something linear and that happens very fast, well this is not so, you must take your time to analyze it well and understand all the characters and scenes, if you do so you will discover sooner than expected who the murderer is. Another thing that stands out from the movie is that it stars jsutin timberlake and Alicia Silverstone, who if you don't remember, was the one who played Batgirl, in the movie where batman has nipples. So if I recommend you this incredible movie, you will be very surprised by the ending, it is quite twisted and even unexpected, they really could have kept it very well, it is not predictable at all.
