Greetings dear cinephile friends... today I am pleased to share the third part of the five most memorable movies in the history of cinema. Before I begin I wanted to clarify something and that is that obviously the most memorable movies of cinema were taken in the golden age of cinema and this was in its beginnings or approximately since the 70's because at that time the movies were extremely epic and legendary because without all the technology that exists today transmitted unique special effects and the story of the film really had depth and weight not like now that are only commercial films or with pure political propaganda that no one really cares.

Antes de comenzar quería aclarar algo y es que obviamente las películas más memorables del cine fueron sacadas en la época de oro del cine y esto fue en sus inicios o aproximadamente desde hasta los años 70 ya que en ese momento las películas fueron sumamente épicas y legendarias ya que sin contar con toda la tecnología que hay hoy en día transmitían efectos especiales únicos y la historia de la película realmente tenía profundidad y peso no como ahorita que son solamente películas comerciales o con pura propaganda política que en realidad a nadie le interesa.
This time I wanted to share the third movie and this is Citizen Kane, a movie that is really old since it was released in 1941 but it tells a very impressive story and a wonderful plot, let's see what it is all about.
"Citizen Kane" (1941), directed by the young Orson Welles, is not only considered a masterpiece of cinema, but also holds the title of the best film in history according to the American Film Institute. Its release in 1941 marked a before and after in cinematographic technique, revolutionizing visual and narrative language.
En esta ocasión quería compartir la tercera película y esta es ciudadano kane una película que la verdad tiene muchísimos años ya que fue lanzada en 1941 pero que cuenta una historia bastante impresionante y una trama maravillosa veamos de qué se trata.
"Ciudadano Kane" (1941), dirigida por el joven Orson Welles, no solo es considerada una obra maestra del cine, sino que también ostenta el título de la mejor película de la historia según el American Film Institute. Su estreno en 1941 marcó un antes y un después en la técnica cinematográfica, revolucionando el lenguaje visual y narrativo.
The film opens with the death of Charles Foster Kane, a newspaper magnate, and the enigmatic word "Rosebud" that he whispers in his last breath. A journalist, Jerry Thompson, embarks on an investigation to decipher the meaning of the word, interviewing people who knew Kane at different stages of his life. Through flashbacks, the film takes us through Kane's childhood, marked by poverty and loneliness, his meteoric rise to success as a newspaper mogul, his stormy personal life and his eventual fall from grace.

As well as the fascinating plot the film features unique and impressive performances we can highlight the main character himself: Charles Foster Kane: A complex and contradictory man. Genius and tycoon, but also self-centered and manipulative. Kane seeks happiness through power and wealth, but finds only loneliness and emptiness.
Susan Alexander: Kane's second wife, an opera singer with dreams of greatness. Her relationship with Kane is passionate but turbulent, marked by dissatisfaction and lack of understanding. Jed Leland: Kane's childhood best friend. His perspective brings a critical look at Kane's character, revealing his insecurities and his more human side.
But this amazing film is not only about characters as we commented at the beginning, it is also about the film effects that caused a revolution with its innovative cinematography, use of deep focus, sequence shots and fragmented narrative. The film also explored complex themes such as ambition, power, loneliness and the American dream, challenging the conventions of classic Hollywood cinema.
Así como la fascinante trama la película cuenta con actuaciones únicas e impresionantes podemos destacar al propio personaje principal: Charles Foster Kane: Un hombre complejo y contradictorio. Genio y magnate, pero también egocéntrico y manipulador. Kane busca la felicidad a través del poder y la riqueza, pero solo encuentra soledad y vacío.
Susan Alexander: La segunda esposa de Kane, una cantante de ópera con sueños de grandeza. Su relación con Kane es apasionada pero turbulenta, marcada por la insatisfacción y la falta de comprensión. Jed Leland: El mejor amigo de Kane en la infancia. Su perspectiva aporta una mirada crítica al personaje de Kane, revelando sus inseguridades y su lado más humano.
Pero esta asombrosa película No solo se trata de personajes como comentamos en un principio también son los efectos en el cine que causaron toda una revolución con su innovadora cinematografía, uso del deep focus, planos secuencia y narrativa fragmentada. La película también exploró temas complejos como la ambición, el poder, la soledad y el sueño americano, desafiando las convenciones del cine clásico de Hollywood.
So even though this movie is about 83 years old since its release it has set impressive milestones in cinema, plus the performances are pretty solid with very deep characters and dialogues that get you thinking as a viewer and makes you get involved in the plot. Plus the plot also presents a realistic idea of how the real world works full of ambition and different types of people with different intentions.
