A Review on Kpop Demon Hunter and Why It Was A Successful Movie.
Hello Korea lovers and every member of the Korea Hive Village, this week's prompt is something I wasn't expecting, actually, and I love that the movie we are to review is on Netflix and also an animation. One thing I love about my Netflix is that it always suggests good movies that I love, and surprisingly, "Kpop Demon Hunter" happened to be one of the animations I have watched.

First of all, I will do a review on the movie and talk about the storyline. I am sure many people are currently watching it, or planning to watch it, so I would do my best not to add too many spoilers. So sit back and read.
"KPop Demon Hunters" is an electrifying animated film that seamlessly blends K-pop culture with demon-slaying action. The story follows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, a popular K-pop group known as Huntrix, who lead double lives as demon hunters protecting humanity from malevolent spirits.

One of the reasons K-pop Demon Hunter was so successful is because the producer or the production team stayed very true to the Korean culture. From the dressing to the dancing, the use of words. It makes you feel like you are watching a Korean animated series in one go. We can see the Tiger and the bird; those two hold a very important meaning in Korea.
The story is set in a location that was under constant threat from demons. These demons would frequently attack, stealing the souls of the inhabitants and channeling the stolen strength to their leader, Gwi-ma. For a long time, the demons held control over the area, causing fear and suffering. However, brave heroes emerged to fight back. They used their powerful voices and an ancient song of courage and hope to drive the darkness away.
These heroes, known as demon hunters, have been protecting the people across many generations. They work together to build a protective shield called the "Guardian Barrier," which helps keep the demons at bay and ensures the safety of the community. And in the new generation, three new heroes have been chosen to fight the demons (Mira, Zoey, and Rumi)
There are so many things that make K-pop Demon Hunter stand out, but I will be talking about a few, like the vibrant animation. Do you know it was the same studio that made "Spiderman - Into the Multiverse" that's also responsible for making the K-pop demon hunter animation?
Also, the catchy soundtrack from the movie is also wide, I love every part, especially when the demon came in as the boys band. It is said that the Saja boy even surpasses BTS.
According to Chart Data, it is said that the Saja boys have become the first male K-pop group to reach the top 1 on the US spotify chart history. This is to show you how interesting the soundtracks are, and there are more too because the Hunteix are also topping the female chart too.
The emotional depth of the movie reaches the viewers too, the struggle of Rumi's to conceal her half-demon heritage adds a layer of complexity to the story, exploring themes of identity, shame, and self-acceptance.

In the end, Jinu, who realized he had already lost everything, helped Rumi to defeat Gwi-ma. Of course, Gwi-ma and his allies were completely destroyed, but Jinu did not escape either because he sacrificed himself for Gwi-ma to be destroyed.
This is a good movie and I would rate it a 9/10. You should watch it if you haven't seen it.
