Rise of the Guardians: A Magical Adventure for All Ages
One thing that amazes me is how adults mostly relate to different things children are going through because we were all once a child, and this is why it is very easy for adults to watch movies made for kids and still understand what the movie is trying to teach. We would understand it the same way a kid would, or sometimes better. One of the films that brings out the child in us is one I have watched a long time ago, and the title is
Rise of the Guardians.
"Rise of the Guardians" is a captivating animated film that brings together some of the most iconic figures in children's literature that includes Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the Sandman. The movie follows the story of Jack Frost, a funny winter spirit who has lost his memories, as he joins forces with these legendary guardians to protect children from the evil Pitch Black.
The Storyline
The film started with Jack Frost emerging from the depths of an ice lake, but he didn't know how he got there. Then the introduction of other guardians came, but one thing that also came with the guardians was the evil pitch black with the mission of spreading fear in the heart of all children, and it was the duty of all the guardians to stop him. The story is well-paced, and the characters are well-developed, making it easy to become invested in their journey. The movie's themes of teamwork, bravery, and believing in oneself are well-woven throughout the story, making it a great watch for both kids and adults.
One of the standout aspects of the movie is the character of Jack Frost. As a winter spirit with lost memories, Jack's journey is both fascinating and heartwarming. His backstory, revealed gradually throughout the film, jack struggled with his identity and the lost of his friends trigger his memory restoration. Jack's backstory is interesting because it adds a layer of complexity to his character. His amnesia and lack of connection to his past make him a more vulnerable and human-like character, despite being a spirit.
Conclusion
Rise of the Guardian is a very interesting animated film everyone to watch because it teaches so many morale lessons for both adult and kids. I will rate the film a 9/10 because of the character development, backstory, morale, theme, music and many more. You will need to watch it to understand.
