The Nutty Professor: Two Side Of A Coin

Growing up, I always watch actors like Will Smith, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, and the likes but one of my favorite among this actor is Eddie Murphy because I love the way he acts and find a way to include comedy in all of his movie. I watched one recently which brought back a lot of memories and this film, I’ll be sharing it with you.

One thing I love about this movie is the blend of science and personal love life of a particular set of person. Now, let’s get into the storyline and do some review.

Storyline.

The storyline is about a professor who was very chubby, his name was professor Julius (Eddie Murphy)
He was working on a research that can automatically change the genetic structure of a person body which would turn them from fat to thin.

He wasn’t testing it on people but on his lab rat and it seems to be working fine until a fine lady walked into his life.

Carla was a very beautiful lady, she was a new staff at the college prof Julius was teaching and she seems to be a fan of most of prof Julius science research. As soon as he met her, he fell in love and she was willing to give him a try even with his body shape but after their first date. A comedian used him as his point of comedy on thag dinner date which made prof julius try his own research on himself.

Luckily, the result of the research went well but the after effect was that the slim body would be his alter ego and this slim prof Julius has everything like him, the brain, the looks, and other things but he didn’t take the good attitude and character of prof Julius. He was a maniac and as the story unfold, Prof Julius has to choose between having a slim body and loosing himself or being truth to who he is.

I love the storyline and the selection of each character. They played their roles well and it made me love the movie. Even though the movie was released in 1996/2000 the use of CGI was excellent.

How they made the professor slim then fat and his body structure have to change after drinking the formula he created. There was a time his hand became big, then small, and his face changing in size. It was nice and seeing the design and editing team do such amazing work as at that time was amazing.

Another thing I love about the movie was that it wasn’t too complicated, you can’t predict the next action but it still wasn’t completely. It is funny, children can watch it and there wouldn’t be any issue.

If you want to have a good time with your family and you need a good laugh with them, then I recommend this movie to you.
