Who Was The Best Superman? My Opinion.
Hello Hivers and members of the CineTv community, it's another day for us to talk about some of the trending things in the movie world. If you are a movie fan, you would have known that there is an online debate going on all over social media, especially on Web2, but what fun would it be if I don't bring this debate to the best movie community on Hive?

Not many of us, but most of us grew up with superheroes like Superman, and when there is a reboot or upgrade, we all want to know what has been added or removed from our favorite superhero.
The online debate has been about, "Which Superman is better?" while some are supporting Zack Snyder's Superman, others are saying the James Gunn Superman was what Superman was meant to be. Now, let's hear my opinion on this.
Zack Synder Superman.
The truth is that I was very excited when "Man of Steel" came out. I love the advert, and it was the first Superman reboot we got after I love time, and the person who used to play the role of Superman (Henry Cavill) was an actual Superman, when it comes to body build and all.
One thing about Zack Snyder is that he loves his movies to be dark and gloomy, talk of the likes of "300 Movie" and so on, but that doesn't mean that the Superman he gave us was bad.
I love that there were so many actions in Man of Steel, it felt as if Superman was in the real world, how would it look like, and Zack gave us the reality of having Superman in the real world.
But the thing is that Superman is fictional, and just like every fictional story, we are not expected to see something too realistic because Superman is meant for everyone, both kids and adults. I wouldn't want to watch a Superman movie with my kids and start seeing loves of destruction.
The fact was, before James Gunn's Superman came into existence, I always felt like Man of Steel was too much, but that wouldn't stop me from watching it because I love Superman.
James Gunn Superman.
I watched the James Gunn Superman some days ago, and I have watched it twice, not as much as I have watched Zack Snyder Superman, but I must tell you, this new Superman has a lot of space to grow. James Gunn's Superman is not the best version of Superman. I even noticed some mistakes in the movie while watching it, like Superman's toes growing longer after his dog Krpto was biting and pulling on it, the way Green Lantern's projection was looking like, and how Lois immediately understood how to fly Mr. Terrific Aircraft.
Jame Gunn's Superman was sad to be weak, but the truth is that most of the Superman animated series and movies that I have watched, I have always seen Superman bleed, and get his ass kicked until he decides to get serious, and I believe that is what James Gunn is doing to his Superman.
He wants to give his Superman room to grow because Superman just started his hero life a few years ago. We got to see other promising superheroes that might change the DCUE. Something Zack never gave to us, but with James Gunn, I believe the new Superman manchandice will go a very long way. And there might be other movies that will come out of this. In the same way the Marvel Universe grows, we are going to see the DC universe grow, too.
Anyway, these are my opinions, and some others might have something different to say, but you, reading this, what is your take on both Superman?
Thanks for reading. My name is Fashtioluwa.
Zack Snyder has a problem with dark movies. And it's not just the visual display. I always felt Snyder's superman was had this dark aura. He was good but there was something dark within.
Gunn I think tried to get us closer to superman more like a normal human. And then the viral take Snyder was really aura farming. Like come on, when Snyder superman used a soldier to break through a wall with super speed if it was in the boys he would have been bloody, and a killer.
And that's something that ain't part of superman
well said, I believe henry was a good superman but he had bad script and poor director. Also, I always had this feeling that he might snap at any given time.
By far the best is Henry Cavill's as he is able to leave many valuable life reflections that make him more real and human as decisions between life, death and sacrifice for doing the right and the good.
Gunn what he made of Superman was a SuperYamcha who is humiliated and ridiculed throughout the movie and saved by Krypto too many times that he misses the count....
I think that children deserve especially nowadays products that make them think, reflect and develop those neurons, Gunn in his proposal offers the opposite.
These stories and especially that of Superman is able to give life lessons that Gunn drowns in unnecessary jokes, in Gunn's story his S on the chest of his suit loses meaning .... and incidentally Gunn's invention for nothing canonical in the message of Jor-el
Hehe, I enjoyed reading this comment. Do you think kids need this
at their young age. What kind of kids are we trying to grow, also have you watched the new superman.
Yes, I saw it in theaters and it's sad to see how they sodomize narratively speaking that poor SuperYamcha.... I don't know what family or children message Supergirl leaves us calling him a bitch, I don't see it necessary and I don't see this movie leaving reflections or personal growth with scenes like this 😐
The S, the eternal symbol of Superman that illuminates the rest of Superheroes and humanity was deformed into a message of lie down and knock up as many as you can 😅
Well
Like I said
This wasn’t the best Superman but this is the only Superman that has been given to us which has potential to grow beyond other Superman
I believe they would see the mistake because James Gunn listen to fan and there would be adjustments soon
I made a post like this not too long ago, back when the movie just came out.
James Gunn gave us a better Superman. He's more comic-accurate, and he also embodies the idea of Superman better than Zach Snyder's.
This new Superman didn't mind getting his butt kicked as long as no one else was hurt. ALmost all through the movie, he was focused on saving lives than he was on actually winning fights. Henry Cavill's Superman was more focused on winning fights.
Personally, I didn't find any issues with Green Lantern's projections. One of the arguments I've been getting is that it wasn't physically connected to the ring. But I don't think the ring has such limits. How it works is that as much as your mind can imagine and you're strong enough to project, you'll definitely project it. Besides, Guy Gardner is one of the most unliked Green Lanterns, but also one of the most skilled ones.
The movie of course, has its issues, some of which you've mentioned. But for me, I don't think they were enough to make me not enjoy it.
Thanks for sharing your idea with us.
Thank you
Someone that understands
Now
The real justice league will show
Other superheroes will have their own shows and Superman has more opportunities in other movies that have not be made to show his true power
There is room for growth and development, and we might be seeing the growth Marvel universe enjoyed in the DC universe
