There have been loads of activities going on behind the scenes to put all the reviews we are getting together and make necessary adjustments to the next draft of the script. So far so good... Updates about that will be coming your way afterward.

In this post, we want to go through the review of the first draft of the Hive film script written by @traciyork. Check out this embedded URL for the detailed review, published by Traci.

Key Notes From @traciyork's Review

1. The character development is spot-on.

It is one thing to have an appealing plot and storyline, but the way each character is introduced and how their story unfolds plays an important part in captivating the audience.

In this case, there is a blend of fictional and nonfictional characters. Traci highlights that both Hive community members and any other movie lover who gets to watch the film will appreciate the establishment of roles of each character.

2. Traci foresees potential editing out of some scenes at the start.

This is an interesting remark because it brings us back to the obvious fact about the story. Those that experienced the incident that played out during the meltdown that led to the existence of Hive know that there are so many stories to be told about it.

Since the idea is to make a feature-length film, Traci highlighted that some scenes will unavoidably be destined for the cutting room floor. This will surely create room for the core actions which will unfold as the story develops.

3. Traci also noticed the good dose of humour sprinkled into the script.

We've received 3 rounds of feedback from the review team and it's interesting to see how every one of them is impressed with the touch of humour visible in the first draft of the script.

The core of this story will be about blockchain, cryptocurrency, Community, tech, and whatnot. While they make for an interesting story, having a good blend of humour will most likely make it more entertaining to watch. The reviews have already strengthened our resolve about that.

4. The initial hurdle of finding a suitable SETTING for the story is taken care of.

When the idea of making a feature-length film for Hive was first made public, so many questions were asked about how to come up with a suitable setting. This is obviously because Hive is a virtual Community with real users.

On a scriptwriting level, coming up with a script and fitting in dialogues about the incidents that mostly played out online came as an interesting challenge. From the draft of the script so far, Traci thinks it was well taken care of.

In conclusion, this is what Traci has to say about the entire first draft of the script;

This was a much more solid piece of work than I expected from a partial first draft. Nicely done, guys! ~ quote source
